We are in urgent need of assistance to repair our Sefer Torah. The handle is broken, making it difficult and unsafe to return the scroll to the ark since it's open and can't balance. Because of this, we rarely read from it, which is not ideal according to halacha.
Previously, RabbiYael Splansky kindly promised to mail handles to help with the repair, but she has gone silent, and I understand she may be dealing with personal matters. In the meantime, our Torah remains at risk, and we need help to ensure it is properly restored and usable.
If you or anyone you know can assist us whether by providing the needed parts, guiding us on repairs, or supporting us financially....please reach out. Ensuring the dignity and usability of our Sefer Torah is a mitzvah, and your help would mean so much to our community.

Maimonides continues that it is thus “customary... to give profusely to charity and perform many good deeds… to a greater extent than during the remainder of the year.”
