Ephesians 1

In my opinion the most incredible and glorious chapter in the Bible is Ephesians, chapter 1. The truths revealed are ‘past finding out!’ Consider the following:

1. The Father has blessed us with all blessings (v.3)
2. He has chosen us that we should be holy and blameless before Him (v.4)
3. He has predestined us to be sons and daughters, not slaves and orphans (v.5)
4. He has accepted us through His love (v.6)
5. He has redeemed us by His blood (v.7)
6. He has forgiven us according to His grace (v.7)
7. He has made know to us the mystery of His will (v.9)
8. He has given us an inheritance (v.11)
9. After we believed He sealed us with the Holy Spirit (v.13)

Paul then goes on to pray that we could understand all of this!
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe” (Eph. 1:17-19)

Pray that prayer over yourself, giving thanks for this wisdom and revelation. Meditate on these great truths. They will change your life!

1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
