_FACE YOUR FEARS._

```_2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind._```
Out of experience I have realized that most times the things we even fear don't exist. Fearing the unknown. There is no way you can overcome it untill you confront it.
Until you face your fears headon you will never go above them, you will stay a prisoner of your fears.
For 40 days and nights Goliath mocked the army of the lord because what was before them was beyond their ability.they thought it was impossible. Until one day a young "boy" David came and faced what everyone was fearing and the rest is History.
Until you Face it you will not register Victory.
I don't know what you are fearing. It might be fearing to start that business, fearing to approach that person. Fearing to do the ministry. ETC.
YOU HAVE TO BE DARING.
You will realise that after you have faced it , there was nothing to fear about. You have made it. You have done it.
You have the advantage, you have God, you will not fail. Go ahead and face what you have been fearing. For God has never given us a spirit of fear.
_BE ATTENTIVE_
```Matthew 14:28-30 And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind [was] boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"```

Anything that takes your attention will soon rule or become your master.

You should avoid to keep listening to voices that don't matter. Some voices come to distract you and take you off track.

When you look at Peter. He at first time started walking on water when his attention was on Jesus but when he looked away and saw the waves/boisterous storm then he started to Sink.

You should understand that broken focus is the main reason why Men fail. Peter never put his focus on the one (Jesus) who had told him to come.

The question is, what is that thing that has caught your attention?? For whatever takes your attention will make you a slave soon.

THE LORD REMEMBERED HER(HANNAH )

1Samuel 1:6-7 And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb. So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.

Provocation is generally bad, and yet there are times it brings out the best in us. In 1 Samuel 1:1-20, it is recorded that Peninah had children but Hannah her co-wife had none. Peninah provoked Hannah so much that she irritated her.

Elkanah their husband loved Hannah regardless; he would give her a double portion of meat. However, because of the provocation of Peninah, she often broke down and cried, and the husband would ask her if he was not more to her than ten sons.

Hannah had had it! She moved into the temple with all bitterness, frustration and pain and poured her heart to the Lord.

Peninah had pushed her out of the comfort of having the double portion, and the favor of her husband.

Peninah made her realize the important thing that she did not have; children. What I perceive is that Hannah did not get back at Peninah; she knew where to take her bitterness. She went straight to the temple and pleaded with the Lord to remember her.

This reminds me of a time when I was still at university, we had a neighbor back home who used to provoke me telling lies about me and one of my uncles to the entire village of how we were not at university but just walking on the streets of Kampala doing nothing. It really pained me to the marrow that I determined to graduate and make a party at home .I surely did so ,graduated and the party was made .He was so ashamed, we proved him wrong before the entire village.

Do not just wallow in self pity when you are provoked, like Hannah did, go to God and pour out your heart to Him. The Bible says in 1Sam 1:19, Elkanah lay with Hannah his wife and the Lord REMEMBERED her.

Key Learning Point: When provoked, turn to God for help.

Reflections: Are there areas in your life where you have been provoked? A child, job, spouse, healing, provision?

Prayer and Response: Cry out to God today and ask him to remember you in those areas that have brought you bitterness of soul.

NEVER GIVE MORE TIME TO A CRITIC THAN YOU WOULD GIVE TO A FRIEND.

Proverbs 18:24 A man [who has] friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend [who] sticks closer than a brother.

Never give more time to a critic than you would give to a friend.

Never spend much time explaining yourself to a critic because he or she would never understand you

Critics are non achievers, Critics are not focused on their dreams because they have none. Critics are not focussed on their goals because they have none.
So it's a simple advice, never spend your time answering a critic than you spend with a friend.

Invest your energy and reactions in the people who matter. Don't spend time with people who come against you, it's a waste of time.

I remember one time there is someone who tried to falsely accused me of something I had no idea about and the way she packaged it you would truly believe it. Somehow I tried to defend myself and talking to her but the more I did the more she took me for granted until when I got the wisdom to shut her down.

Now this is the thing. "My friends don't need my explanation and my enemies would never believe my explanations.

When you keep explaining yourself to people who will never understand you. It's like your are fighting a battle which is the Lord's.
2 Chronicles 20:15 And he said, "Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle [is] not yours, but God's.
```
Stop explaining yourself in a way that looks like you are defending yourself. The battle is the Lord's and remember there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
*Key Learning Point:*
Spend more time with friends not with Critics.
Reflection
Your friends don't need any explanation yet your enemies will never understand your explanation.
Prayer and Response.
Talk to God always to show you who are the true friends in your life
DAILY BOOST 9th/02/2024.
RUN TO THE THRONE.
```Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.```

One of our biggest times of need is during the hard times. We need grace to hold on, believe and trust God and to endure. However, it is the time when we easily forget about the grace of God.

Our understanding of scripture has become so distorted that people think our time of need is the time of prayer. How can we get to that point where we cannot even recognize our own time of need?

Beloved, when you are broke, it is a time of need. When your enemies assail you and friends forsake you, it is a time of need. When you have no strength to pray, it is a time of need. When you have waited on God for a job or spouse for a long time, you are in a time of need. And you need God’s grace to fight the good fight of faith.

The invitation is simple and clear. Approach the throne of grace, and you will obtain mercy and grace. Remember, it is sufficient grace. Do not let the enemy get you to that point where you fail to recognize your time of need. Run to the throne before you get to the phone. Help is waiting on the other side of the phone.

Sometimes He will give you the grace to carry you through, but on other occasions, He will hide you in His wings until the trouble has passed by. Run to the throne beloved.Run!

*Key Learning Point:* The time of trial is a time of need. Run to the throne for Grace.

*Reflection:* Have you lost sense of your times of need?

*Prayer and Response:* If you are facing a time of need today, run to the throne and speak to the master about it. Ask Him for the particular grace you need.

_LIES ABOUT TRIALS._

```Romans 8:35…“ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”```
During the hard times, one of the enemy’s tricks is to make us feel so down cast, abandoned and sorry for ourselves to the extent that we focus on our pain more than on the lesson that God can teach us through the situation.
I have learnt to ask the Lord to help me not miss out on the lessons every time I am facing a hard time. My prayers are no longer dominated by…“take this cup of suffering away from me” I rather pray…“father, quicken my spirit to learn from this situation”.
Another lie of the enemy is that tough times are a punishment to us from God. That makes people focus on… “Why me and what did I do
wrong” kind of prayers. These kinds of feelings make us fail to see God’s hand of deliverance. Think about it; is God such a sadist that the only way He can teach you lessons is through affliction and pain?
The enemy also uses a lie from the pit of hell, that God is very far from us during trials and has forsaken us. Never forget that God cannot ever forsake you. Nothing shall separate us from His love. Child of God, we are tired because we are in a wicked world, and we have an enemy the devil who loves to make life unbearable for us. But do not lose sight of
the truth in God’s word. He said, “Never will I leave you, nor forsake you”.
*Key Learning Point:* Never forget that God cannot ever forsake you; nothing shall separate us from His love.
*Reflection:* What are some of the feelings you have during your times of trial? Are these feelings consistent with the character of God? What is the true character and nature of God?
*Prayer and Response:* Ask the Lord to help you keep your eyes on Him
and on the truth of His word during each hard time
