Theme : Homecoming
Luke 15:11-24

The Greek word to mean home is Oikos which also means a dwelling place.

And the greek word to mean coming is Erchomai which also intepretes as to arise ,be established or find a place.

The story of the prodigal son narrates about a son who abandons his home( dwelling place) and goes in the country to spend all he had got from the father.

It also depicts a son who was excited about the little glamour of wealth he was seeing at that time.

The greek word used to decribe him is Teknon which means young not above the adolescent stage.

There are many ministers in our days that are running away from their homes because of the excitement about the annointing and the miraculos.

They have forsook the place of preparation and running after the little they can focus on at that time( spiritual myopia)

They have left home and gone to squander their gifts.

However after forsaking the source they have run out of supply and so looked for other ways to remain relevant in ministry.

They have now turned to eat with pigs to find a way of survival . The masters are now serving other masters.

But in such times God is calling is to make a return home . God is calling us back to the dwelling place.

We need to return to the source the father the perfector and the maker.

Grace is extremely abundant come this friday if you have left the place of God , if you dont know where to go if you have lost direction in ministry.God is calling us to return to Him and he gives us a new destination.

Just like the fathers arms were widely open he will receive you and take you back to his arms .

Inheritance is for those who can keep themselves in the dwelling place and prove themselves to the father in the place of waiting join us this Friday grace is extremely abundant.

THE AWAKENING CALL
The difference of time has created both worshippers and performers in church
Many worship leaders today have developed the 'Artist mentality'

They rather do a performance than worshipping the MOST HIGH

For they occupy positions and roles but their actions not in reflection

There is a great difference between singers and worshippers, the former being born with a nice voice, ability to drive music and the latter cultivated from a place in relationship with God.

Jeremy Riddle once said 'without surrender there is no worship, without sacrifice there is no offering for fire to fall on . Reformation, revival , awakening and fire falling are all just conference buzz words that will remain unrealized until someone is ready to lay his life down for Christ'

A worshipper must have a relationship with God ' for you cannot worship the God you don't know'

A worship leader is meant to lead the people of God into the throne room and down at the feet of Jesus

If the leaders Melody cannot take people there then he or she is singing but not worshipping

With the trend of the church today , worship teams going to church on Saturday do some rehearsals play nice music practice for Sunday come Sunday lead the songs in a leisure doing the same thing forever

It's until the church changes it's mentality and it's mindset about worship that we shall experience God in an extra ordinary way

It's high time worship leaders awaken , worship teams change the trend, worship pastors mentor the worship leaders it's time intercessors rise up and pray for the generation it's perishing . If 65% of the population is below the age of 15 if we don't rise up what will happen to the next generation

If this generation is embracing and defending half nakedness in church won't the next generation embrace nakedness ,won't secular music be performed during church services.
