The enemy’s strategy is often not to create something completely different, but to distort what God has already established. A counterfeit kingdom imitates truth, offers temporary satisfaction, and promises power without surrender, purpose without obedience, and success without God.

Three things that happen in distortion times, Key take homes

1. Brass needs to be constantly polished. Gold shines on its own
1 king 15:27

2. Gold is very weighty but brass is light
Job 23:10, proverbs 17:3

3. If the enemy comes and stills something from you, fight and get it back. Rehoboam should have caught and got the gold back when Pharaoh Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem, but didn’t.

This means:
1 Kings 14:25-26 - we tend to cover up the distortion by not confronting certain realities
