THE CALEB QUESTION!!
An encouragement to you in the marketplace
This is something I have been meditating upon for weeks now and by the Grace of God I have managed to organize it.

Why is it that Caleb asked for Mount Hebron to be his inheritance?
While others were scared to even possess the land collectively, Caleb was courageous enough to ask for a whole mountain even when he knew that there were giants in it (Anakims). That means that you can attain influence even in territories filled with giants (opposing forces). Usually we would prefer to enter into spaces that have no competition or already existing influence. But Caleb's spirit and attitude teaches us not to be afraid to take on things that belong to our appointed boundaries of habitation due to the giants, opposition or resistance in it because with God at our side, we are the appointed victors/winners. You can take over territories that already have commanders in them because greater is He that is in you than the one in the world. For those that be with us are greater than those that be with them.
Once you start seeing yourself as a person of influence, your visions and aspirations change. This goes as far as the petitions or supplications we present before our God.
Our prayers say alot about how much we believe in God or ourselves. Hallelujah

Joshua 14:6-15
[6]Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: “You know the word which the Lord said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.
[7]I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.
[8]Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the Lord my God.
[9]So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’
[10]And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.
[11]As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.
[12]Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”
[13]And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.
[14]Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.
[15]And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba (Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim). Then the land had rest from war.

Blessed weekend beloved

THE LOVE DRIVEN LIFE
At the cross, Jesus asked the Father to forgive the sins of the whole world (past, present and future) He was in such agony and excruciating pain. The people we are "dying for" (helping, praying for, supporting, recommending) may make us go through very painful experiences but they cannot be equated to the pain that Jesus felt at the cross (being rejected, falsely accused, beaten, mocked, spat on, pierced by those He was dying for). Most importantly, God avails the same grace to help us love, forgive and pray for our enemies.

Luke 23:33-37
[33]And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left.
[34]Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.
[35]And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”
[36]The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine,
[37]and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”

PORTALS/DOORS/PASSAGES...Continued

Sometimes the portals, roads or passages to greatness may not be rosy, smooth or opposition free but as long as you have a vision pertaining to the things to come, you walk with assurance that the end is more important than the means (whether you realize it or not, everything will work together for your good). God will grant you the desires of your heart because He is the one who placed those desires and visions in your heart.
Joseph saw that he was destined/appointed for great things but the portal that God opened to usher him to Egypt was the one he would have preferred (God used the hatred of his brothers to sell him into slavery). The portal to the Palace was the accusation by Potiphar's wife because he was thrown into prison and this positioned him for the next move of God in his life.

TRACKING PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL TIME
Physical watches/clocks help us to keep track of physical time (kronos) such that we are able to execute physical programs on time on earth. But discernment by the Holy Spirit helps us to keep track of spiritual time (kairos) when things are supposed/appointed/destined to happen so that we not only have understanding of the times but also know what to do. This helps us to be aligned to what God expects us to do in a particular season.
BECAUSE
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

THE LORD'S PRESENCE (THE PLACE OF ELEVATED VISION)
As you sit at the Lord's feet (the way Mary did, whatever you receive will never be taken away from you); tarry in the Presence of the Lord; have fellowship with the Lord, your vision/sight will elevated to behold that which God has already provided, apportioned, appointed & availed for you. This vision will be key in positioning you to possess your possessions and seeing the promises God has made to you coming to pass. In Genesis 13:14-18, Abraham was told to lift his eyes and whatever he saw was not only his but his descendants forever. He arose, walked through the land and after more than 430years later, the children of Israel posessessed the land of Canaan till this day.

Habakkuk 2:1-3
1 I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.
2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

No matter what happens, follow/pursue the vision you have received while in the presence of the Lord. It will surely come to pass!

I have heard stories from people with near death experiences talking about seeing Christians who ended up in hell. Perhaps it's rooted in unforgiveness because if you do not forgive, your sins will not be forgiven (Mathew 6:14-15) and therefore no heaven. Refusing to forgive and passing judgment upon others for what they have done just shows that we don't appreciate what God has done for us. Jesus used a parable about the unmerciful servant who forgot about the mercy and kindness of his master and threw his fellow servant into jail for a smaller debt (Mathew 18:21-35).
When God forgives us, it is everything and not a select few. But if we still carry the thinking or understanding that some things are unforgivable, then we have not known the God we believed.
Like the unmerciful servant, some of us actually have bigger debts (sins, iniquities and mistakes) to settle with God yet He has forgiven us. God has been patient with us and given us time to change. Why don't you extend the same to those who have done bad things to you.
God has not dealt with us according to our sins nor punished us according to our iniquities (Psalm 103:10). We should do the same🙇‍♂️🙏🏻

Mathew 7:1-5

7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Blessed week as we forgive and put an end to judging others

Quenching the Spirit means:
1. Saying NO to the Lord in some way
2. Refusing to heed His voice and choosing what we want to do.
3. Ignoring or deliberately disobeying the leading of God and doing something that is selfish and not God-centred.
1 Samuel 15:23 shows that "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness of heart is as of iniquity and idolatry". In other words, "we may not be going to a physical shrine like those who are non-believers do but if we are walking in disobedience and rebellion towards the commands and instructions of the Lord, we are not any different from witches".
There are also certain things we have hardened our hearts about that we don't want God to talk about (not willing to let go). So you find hard-hearted Christians not only in ministry but also claiming to walk with the Lord. But two cannot walk together unless they agree (Amos 3:3)! You are walking with something else and not God because it is very difficult for God to walk with a rebellious person!!

Jesus is the good shepherd! He cannot let you walk through the valley of the shadow of death if He will not be with you or comfort you. Nor will He lead you to the brink of mighty waters and not part them. But many times, we focus on the valley of the shadow of death around us and the impassable/uncrossable mighty waters before us.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me
Isaiah 43:16
Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters

END OF YEAR PRAYERS

31st December 2022 is fast approaching and people all over the country are preparing to bombard the gates of heaven with requests, petitions and supplications (what they want God to do for them in 2023) which is not a bad thing to do because Jesus gave us the liberty to ask and we shall be given, seek and we shall find, knock and the door shall be opened for us (Mathew 7:7). The only loophole to this "end of year practice" is that many people forget to ask God what His will for them is in the coming year. It is also the day when even those who have not been praying will get serious with God. I hope you will also ask God what he wants you to do in 2023. Prayer is a dialogue (communication between two people) not a monologue (one person doing the talking)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2023!

25/12/2022

Christmas should be mainly about worshipping God as the wise men did when Jesus was born; thanking God that He allowed His only Son to be born in this dark world. Sadly, this day gives many people guts to do things they wouldn't on other days. It is as if Christmas is the day when all evil schemes, plans and imaginations are hatched. You find many people in places they shouldn't be, being in the company of people they shouldn't, doing or participating in things they shouldn't, only to wake up in a sea of regrets. Consequently, it ceases to be a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ but a day when unfathomable evil is condoned and justified.
In a nutshell, all manner of behaviour sounds acceptable to many in the festive season.

24/12/2022

Christmas Day is not a scapegoat for doing all kinds of evil, wicked and despicable things but rather recognizing, acknowledging and understanding that God (the Word) became flesh and dwells among us. It is also to remind us that truth, grace, love, light and life was born into this world. Everyone who comes into this world can see this light, experience God's love, Grace, know the truth and have eternal life.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
