Vivid Synergies are excitingly looking for East African creatives based in Uganda who want to get on board for the experience 👏🏽
The call targets creatives who are firm in their practice and committed to collaborative engagement during the residency period of 4 months.
Artists who can apply:
🔸️ VISUAL ARTISTS
Art practitioners professional in the fields of fine arts, sculpture, installation, or multimedia.
🔸️CURATORS AND WRITERS
Identified as choreographers, film directors, fashion designers, poetry writers, scenographers, etc. - all representing cultural practitioners that have experience in mediating products between artist and audience.
Residency periods:
Residency I
Application deadline 02.06.2023 11:59pm (residency starting in June 2023)
Residency II
Application deadline 15.08.2023 11:59pm (residency starting in September 2023)
Residency III
Application deadline 15.12.2023 11:59pm (residency starting in January 2024)

Vivid Synergies! is a program by Afriart Gallery connecting East African visual artists, writers and curators based in Uganda. There will be 3 residencies in total, with each fusing a creative trio for a period of four months to work on contemporary art storytelling - producing a book and an exhibition in the end of each journey!
