What an amazing, striking, and deeply thought-provoking sermon today by Mrs. Joan Kiyingi, Patron of the Christian Women Fellowship (CWF), Mpererwe Parish, and wife of our Parish Priest, Rev. John Kiyingi πŸ™βœ¨
Drawing from Exodus 17:8–15, she powerfully reminded us that Moses began his ministry at 80 years. His life journey was marked by purpose and preparation:
The first 40 years β€” growing up and discovering life
The next 40 years β€” God training and shaping him
Then, at 80, God used him to deliver the Israelites from Pharaoh, lead them through the wilderness, and journey toward Canaan, the Promised Land
Mrs. Kiyingi beautifully likened Aaron and Hur to the helpers God places in our lives β€” people who lift our hands when we are weary and support us in the battles we cannot fight alone. She reminded us that, while human helpers may sometimes grow tired, there is One who never tires β€” Jesus Christ, our Lord and God πŸ™Œ
Today’s service at St. Mark Church, Kyanja was also a heartfelt moment of farewell. We gathered to bid goodbye to our beloved Lay Reader and CWF Coordinator, Omubulizi Kizito, who has been transferred to another church. Speaker after speaker expressed deep gratitude for his faithful service to the Christians of Mpererwe Parish.
In appreciation, gifts and monetary tokens from the Christians of St. Mark Church and CWF Mpererwe Parish were presented to him. In a beautiful gesture of gratitude, Omubulizi Kizito also gave gifts to a few individuals who have faithfully supported his ministry and his family over the years ❀️
A truly memorable service β€” filled with wisdom, thanksgiving, love, and the assurance that God’s help never fails.

🌾 HARVEST SEASON REFLECTION 🌾
Harvest time in the church calendar is more than just bringing our gifts β€” it’s a moment to reflect on why we give. πŸ’
Have you ever paused to ask yourself, β€œWhy do I give?”
In 2 Corinthians 5:14–15, we are reminded:
β€œFor Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”

And in 2 Corinthians 5:19–21, we are told that since we are born again, we are Christ’s ambassadors.
Jesus gave sacrificially β€” He offered His life as the ultimate gift of love. ❀️
We, too, are called to give sacrificially. Is it easy? Not always. But it’s an act of love and obedience.
Remember: God doesn’t need our gifts β€” He invites us to give as a reflection of His unfailing love. He delights in a cheerful giver! 🎁
So this Harvest season, give not out of duty, but with joy, gratitude, and love.
Make your giving a declaration of your faith and a seed of impact for Jesus. 🌱
✨ Have you set your target for the impact you’ll make for Christ this season?

Recently Christian Women Fellowship of Mpererwe Parish harvested during the service at St. Luke Church, Sekanyonyi and later celebrated an early christmas party. It was all joy as the women gifted themselves with gifts as part of the celebrations all part of St Paul's Cathedral Namirembe Kampala Diocese.

πŸŽ‰ A Day of Joy, Fellowship, and Celebration at Mpererwe Parish! πŸŽ‰

On Sunday, 26th October 2025, the Christian Women Fellowship (CWF) at Mpererwe Parish held a remarkable celebration combining three special events:

1. Mary Magdalene Day

2. Early Christmas Party

3. A Heartfelt Farewell to Our CWF Mpererwe Parish Executive

Under the coordination of our incredible Chairperson, Rachel Nankya Lubega and with the support of the dedicated executive, the event was nothing short of a success! 🌟

The day began with a beautiful church service at St. Luke Church, Sekanyonyi, where we welcomed new members into the fellowship, committing to live by the CWF code of conduct and embracing Christian values. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Njagala, gave a powerful sermon on the importance of bearing the fruits of the Holy Spirit, including patience, self-control, and kindness as witten in the book of Galatians5:22-23. πŸ™πŸ’•

CWF members were treated to a delightful luncheon at gardens not far from the church, where the Chairperson expressed gratitude to the executive with thoughtful gifts. Each church also presented their Lay Reader with gifts, and members exchanged tokens of love with one another in a true spirit of fellowship. 🎁

We were honored to have Mrs. Damallie Kabanda (wife of retired Rev. Canon Napthali Wilberforce Kabanda, who served in the early 2000s as parish priest) as our special guest. She shared insightful thoughts on the role of a good Christian woman both at home and in the church. πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦πŸ’–

The highlight of the day was the cutting of the cake by our new members, alongside all the Lay Readers, as we celebrated both Christmas and Mary Magdalene Day. πŸŽ‚πŸŽ„

The event was filled with joyful dancing, uplifting Christian music, and heartfelt singing. As the evening drew to a close around 6 pm, everyone left with full hearts, ready to rejoin their families and carry the spirit of fellowship with them. βœ¨πŸ’ƒ

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event unforgettable! We are excited for the continued growth and strength of our CWF community. πŸ’ͺπŸ’–

A Day to Remember: St. Andrew’s Komamboga Celebrates 100 Years! 🌟
πŸ“… 5th September 2025 will go down in history as a truly unforgettable day at St. Andrew’s Church, Komamboga β€” the grand climax of our 100-Year Anniversary Celebrations! πŸ™ŒπŸŽ‰

The church was filled with joy, color, and praise as Christians from all walks of life came together to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the past century. We were honored to welcome Rt. Rev. Moses Banja, Bishop of Namirembe, who presided over the thanksgiving service and laid the foundation stone for our new Children’s Church building. πŸ™πŸ½β›ͺ

🎀 The sermon, delivered by Ven. Capt. Elly Wasswa, was powerful and uplifting, based on 1 Corinthians 15:1–11. He challenged us to: βœ”οΈ Walk in love
βœ”οΈ Be accountable in ministry
βœ”οΈ Care for the elderly and involve children
βœ”οΈ Forgive and respect one another
βœ”οΈ Guard our words and live with integrity
βœ”οΈ Never tire of doing good! πŸ’ͺ🏽❀️

🎁 Special thanks to Mr. Vincent Matovu, who generously donated 100 bags of cement toward the Children’s Church. Your gift will bless generations to come!

πŸ’› Catholic Women in elegant gomesi joined in support

πŸ“– The Bishop also launched our 100-Year Anniversary Magazine, a beautiful record of the people and families who built our faith community. What a legacy! πŸ™Œ

πŸŽ‚ We shared in fellowship meals, enjoyed a delicious cake-cutting, and celebrated as one big family in Christ. Truly, the spirit of unity, love, and joy was alive and well! ❀️🎊

✨ Mission Week Highlights & Upcoming Health Week ✨

Last week was truly a blessed Mission Week πŸ™. Various religious leaders, including Rev. Simon Peter Dembe lya Yesu (Provincial Mission Director, Church of Uganda) and Rev. Eric Mpuga (Provincial Intercessors Coordinator), joined us in prayer and preaching.

The central message was: How committed are you to your faith?
πŸ“– Readings: 1 Corinthians 10:13; Hebrews 10:23; 2 Timothy 1:5; Romans 6:3-14

πŸ’ Questions to reflect on:

Is Christ the Lord of your life?

Are you committed to Christ, or are you friends with the devil?

βœ… Solutions for being grounded in Christ:

Stay consistent in prayer and daily Bible study.

Obey the voice of God.

Defend your faith by sharing scripture with those you meet.

We were reminded: God is calling us to live as committed Christians and let Christ be Lord in every part of our lives. ✝️
