I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother [ Philemon 1:4-7 NKJV]
Those are the words by The Apostle Paul aka Saul of Tarsus to Philemon a wealthy man who had converted to Christianity through Paul’s Ministry. Philemon like the other Prison Epistles of Philippians, Colossians Ephesians is a testament to the fact that even in the toughest of our moments in life, every moment is a destiny making moment . Even in Prison the Apostle Paul was at work Making Disciples of our Lord Jesus . Now Philemon converted to Christianity, His wife Apphia and son Archipus followed Suit and their home turned into a church that records out of the Bible say their son probably pastored . Now Paul as a spiritual Father kept Philemon in Prayer that the sharing of his faith might be effective. Paul also says that Philemon’s love refreshed the hearts of the saints . This reminds me of the support we have been receiving from you friends in our ministry .ministries . You made our outreach to Buyende possible when you gave us money, clothes and food items . This time we are at it again going to visit our children in Luwero that we support through school. Give us whatever you can, Money , books , pens , pencils , clothes , food items , bags , shoes , etc . Whatever you can so we can refresh the hearts of the little ones . When you gave to the people hit by storms in Buyende that destroyed their homes, churches , mosques, gardens , you refreshed the hearts of the brethren.
