Topic: How to Handle Increase
📖 Key Scripture:
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…” — Deuteronomy 8:18
Increase is a blessing, but it is also a test of character, wisdom, and stewardship. Many people pray for growth, influence, opportunities, and resources, yet not everyone is prepared to handle what they receive.
God does not increase a person merely to make them bigger; He increases them so they may become more fruitful, more responsible, and more effective for His purpose.
As increase comes into your life, humility must remain. Pride has destroyed many people after success arrived. Never allow growth, influence, or achievement to replace dependence on God.
“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” — Proverbs 16:18
Increase also requires wisdom. What you could manage in one season may not be enough for the next. Greater influence requires greater discipline, maturity, prayer, and accountability.
Joseph handled increase wisely in Egypt because he understood stewardship. Daniel remained faithful even when promoted. David remembered God in both the field and the palace.
Godly increase should never pull you away from the presence of God. Some people begin with deep hunger for God, but after growth comes, prayer becomes weaker and dependence decreases. True increase should draw you closer to God, not further away from Him.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…” — Matthew 6:33
Increase must also be handled with gratitude. Everything you have is by the grace of God. When you remain thankful, your heart stays humble and your spirit remains aligned with God.
Do not misuse increase on temporary pride or selfish ambition. Use what God gives you to serve, build, help others, and glorify Him.
“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2
🙏 Declaration:
Lord, help me handle increase with wisdom, humility, and faithfulness. May success never pull my heart away from You. I declare that every blessing, opportunity, and level You bring into my life shall be used for Your glory. I shall remain grounded, disciplined, and dependent on God in every season.
