‘Launch out into the deep.’
Luke 5:4 NKJV

In the Bible, we find a story of the disciples fishing all night and catching nothing. Jesus said to them, ‘“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets”…And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish’ (Luke 5:4-6 NKJV). There are three things we can learn from this:
1) Working harder isn’t necessarily the answer. The disciples ‘worked hard all night’ (v.5 NIV). Nobody could have questioned their work ethic. But they needed to go deeper to see any results. When we’re trying to work on our relationship with God, sometimes we need to go deeper rather than try harder.
2) We need to obey God even when we don’t understand His plan. Peter was an experienced fisherman. When Jesus told him how to catch fish, he had to set aside his pride and say, ‘But because you say so, I will let down the nets’ (v.5 NIV). In 2 Kings 5, Naaman had to humble himself and bathe in the Jordan in order to be healed of leprosy. In Gethsemane, Jesus displayed the same attitude when He prayed, ‘Not my will, but yours be done’ (Luke 22:42 NIV). God’s ways don’t always make sense to us, but when He tells us to do something we should obey Him because His plans for us are always better than those we create for ourselves.
3) Going deeper always works. Jesus said two men built houses, but only one house survived the storm because the builder ‘dug…deep and laid the foundation on rock’ (Luke 6:48 NIV). When our foundations are deep in God, we’re more likely to be able to withstand the storms that we have to face in life. Going deeper with God will always bring us to new levels of faith.

What Now?
Do something to help you go deeper with God today. That might be spending time in the Bible, listening to some teaching online, or simply sitting in His presence and listen to His voice.

My message today for the church is, having faith in Christ and believing in his word without doubt then things will work out well to anyone who will believe in his word . delivered from the book of

Luke Chapter 7 ; 1 - 10

The Faith of the Centurion

When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them.

He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7 That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 10 Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.
