A Prayer for the Gift of Wisdom
Great is the wisdom of the Lord! God Almighty, Your Wisdom includes An understanding of what is fair, What is logical, what is true, What is right and what is lasting. It mirrors Your pure intellect! I entreat You to grant me such Wisdom, That my labours may reflect Your insight. Your Wisdom expands in Your creations, Displaying complexity and multiplicity. Your Wisdom is an eternity ahead of man. May Your wisdom flourish forever!

Welcome Jesus as the bread of life
In the today’s Gospel reading, the crowds then ask Jesus what they can do then to accomplish the works of God. The Pope said it was as if they were asking how we go from a faith that is only conerned about our immediate needs to one that pleases God. Jesus’ answer, the Pope said, is “that the work of God is to welcome the One whom the Father has sent, that is, Himself, Jesus.” The key here is “welcoming Jesus into our lives, living a story of love with Him”, the Pope pointed out, saying only Jesus can purify our faith and strengthen our “loving relationship” with Him. He summed it up: “before the things we receive and do, there is Him to love”.

Prayer of Thanks for People
God of Love,
I thank You for the people in my life
who are easy to love.
I thank You for my family and friends
who understand my actions,
who support me in my decisions,
and whose presence can lift the burden of a thorny day.
Help me with those who are difficult to love.
When they come at me with criticism
and wild expectations,
when they ignore me
or try to bend me to their will,
let me recognize their flaws and their dangers.
But then let me remember your attitude toward them,
and lead me to see them
in the light of Your love.

Prayer for Doctors and Nurses
O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Amen.

Share and God will multiply your gifts
Pope Francis called to mind the tragedy of what happens when sharing does not happen, as in the case child hunger causing the death of around seven thousand children under the age of five every day due to malnutrition. He said faced with scandals such as these, the Lord calls on us to “Be brave, give what little you have, your talents, your possessions, make them available to Jesus and to your brothers and sisters...if you share, God will multiply.”

Lets pray!!
Grant us, O Lord Jesus,
to imitate faithfully the example of your Holy Family
and to make our home another Nazareth.
May peace, love and happiness prevail.
Grant us the grace to be the parents
we should be for our children.
Grant that our child may find solid support
for their human dignity
and for their growth in truth and love
within the embrace of our home.
When the time comes for each of us
to go to the everlasting home you have prepared for us,
may your glorious Mother and St. Joseph take us to you,
after the final grace of a happy death.

Seeing the needs of each person
The miracle of the loaves and fishes, said Pope Francis, “begins with the gaze of Jesus, who is neither indifferent nor too busy to see the hunger felt by weary humanity.” Instead, He is concerned for everyone, and “understands the needs of each person.”

Our grandparents look on us the same way, the Pope said. Their love helped us to grow, and we, in turn, are called to share our love and attention. “Let us lift up our eyes and see them,” Pope Francis said, “even as Jesus sees us.”

Share and God will multiply your gifts
The Pope observed how the young child gave all that he had and how it seemed so little with respect to the needs of the moment. But thanks to that small, freely-given and even heroic gift, “Jesus is able to feed everyone”. We learn here that “the Lord can do a lot with the little that we put at His disposal”, the Pope said, and we should ask ourselves every day “What do I bring to Jesus today?” Jesus can do a lot with our prayers, gestures of kindness and offering up our suffering, he noted, working miracles with them. “This is how God loves to act: He does great things, starting from those small things, those freely-given ones”
