*Married to Social Media*
Today many people are no longer deeply connected to their families, spouses, children, friends, or even God — they are deeply connected to their phones and social media. Everywhere you go, people are scrolling, posting, chatting, watching videos, and comparing their lives with others online. Social media itself is not evil, but when it controls our time, attention, emotions, and relationships, it becomes dangerous.
Some people wake up and the first thing they check is not the Bible or prayer, but Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, or YouTube. Before sleeping, they spend hours online but have no time for family conversations or fellowship with God. It is as if they are “married” to social media.
The Bible says:
_“All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.”_ — 1 Corinthians 6:12
Anything that begins to control us becomes a problem.
*Signs That Someone Is Married to Social Media*
💻 *1. They cannot stay away from their phone*
Even during meals, church, meetings, or conversations, they keep checking notifications. Silence makes them uncomfortable.
💻 *2. Online relationships become more important than real relationships*
Some people ignore their spouse, children, or parents while giving full attention to strangers online.
💻 *3. They seek validation from social media*
Their happiness depends on likes, comments, views, and followers. If nobody reacts to their post, they become sad or insecure.

Hours are spent online, but only minutes are given to God.

Many people compare their lives with edited online lifestyles and begin to feel unhappy with their own lives.
