JOHN 6:3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
V4 ¶ And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
V5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
This is Jesus the Master, our boss: Here, His Preaching was in the mountain, not a cathedral, no building structure, no extravagant church backdrop!!
The point: In the New Testament (a testament of the spirit/intangibles), niceness of physical structures for gathering of saints is NOT important; what is important is that saints come together in fellowship regularly (whether in a ramshackle house, grass-thatched structure, pyparus structure, under a tree, ...); anything works depending on the economic status of the localization (of the saints); it is unwise to squeeze money out of saints in a low economy to raise a church structure whose appearance and stature looks like first world economy!
A wise saint shouldn’t bow to financial pressures from such carnal motivated church demands.
