The vision for the Church of The Resurrection Bugolobi C.O.U. was conceived early in the 1980s after the 1979 war and the church was birthed out of a need of the Christians in the flats for a place of worship. The first service was held on 27th July 1980 at Bugolobi Boys Hostel (now Makerere University Business School Annex in Bugolobi) with Rev. Sam Ruteikara, then a layman taking over the respon
sibility of the church as a Lay Leader with Mr. Godfrey Mutabazi as the first treasurer of the Sub- Parish
Who we are
Church of the resurrection is under the umbrella of the Church of Uganda. It is estimated that over 3,000 adults pray from this church every Sunday and access services from the church. Our Congregation
The congregation at Church of the resurrection is mainly made up of families from Bugolobi and it’s neighbouring communities. With this, there are many young children that attend Children’s Church and other activities. OUR IDENTITY:
Servants: We are called to serve God and one another. Army: We are a body of believers, activists, trained and equipped for ministry in each and every situation. Hospital: A place where mercy and grace of God are overflowing. Family: Brothers and Sisters in Christ built together on relationships, mutual encouragement and ministry. VISION:

To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and create a mature, caring and loving congregation. MOTTO:
