Exodus 16:33
And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a pot and put an omer of manna in it, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations.”

This manna was supposed to get maggots in just one day and therefore get spoiled. But the Lord commanded Moses that the manna to be preserved for generations, must be brought and kept before the Lord.

Lesson learnt;

Whatever you would like to preserve from getting bad, you must bring it before God.

Whatever you decide to keep by and for yourself will get bad, but whatever you bring before the Lord, will be preserved.

You cannot preserve or keep your children, your husband,your wife, money, marriage, jobs, opportunities by your own self, because they will get bad someday. please learn to bring everything before the Lord for whatever you bring before Him will be preserved not only for you but for generations.

Today's word by Edson Abaine

1 Samuel 8:19-20

[19]Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us,
[20]that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.”

These brothers and sisters of ours deliberately decided to disobey God just because they felt they wanted to be like others.

No matter what type of warning God had told to them through Samuel, they gave a deaf ear.

This was because they had compared to other nations and therefore wanted to be like them.

Brethren, we are unique, we are different from any other. God is our King and Lord.
And He made you.for his glory.

You are complete.
You are wonderfully and fearfully made.

Don't compare to other nations, don't long to be like them.

Don't conform to their standards.

Don't be swayed by their blowing winds.

Refuse to.be influenced by the world.

For your God is a mighty God

Whenever God speaks to us ,He is actually securing our future. He is guaranteeing our tomorrow.
When God spoke to Noah to build the ark in the book of Genesis 6:19, He was actually giving him a genuine way of securing his future.
Am sure Noah seemed a fool to many coz he had changed from doing his routine, the real job or work that he was perhaps trained in and went on to something new. But we can witness that when Noah decides to leave all he knew and went on do God's word, his future and his family's future were secured and protected in times of trouble. The word itself that came to him from God had in itself the protection that he would ever need for him and his family.

Equally when God told Abraham to leave his home and his people to a foreign land that he didn't know about ( Genesis 12), He was actually protecting his future.
We see that when Abraham decided to obey against all odds, he was blessed beyond measure. He became the father of nations.
The Nation of Israel, Abraham's Children are blessed and highly favored because Abraham chose to obey God's instructions.

I stand here to encourage everyone here that God has instructed to do something for his glory.
I know it may be contrary to what you know and understand, may be contrary to what the community and family expects our of you, maybe contrary to what you studied.

But please chose to obey today. For in that same instruction is your future and being

Praying in the name of Jesus

I know many of us think like I used to do as well that as long as you mention the name of Jesus as you pray or after prayer, then everything is ok.
This is is because we have been told that as long as you put the name of Jesus, it's then guaranteed that you have been heard and your prayers answered.
Well, this is right as long as you are qualified to pray but if you are not, then you could have just wasted time.

The question is , how do I get qualified to pray?

Well, before I help you answer, let's first understand what prayer is.

Prayer is a petition, it's like pleading a case before the judge.

Prayer is a legal activity not a religious act

It means making a demand on an authority based on legal rights.

And please sister and brothers , petitioning ( prayer) is only possible where there is a
1. Governing authority
2. Document that gives you rights ( constitution)
3. Relationship with the authority.

So for a petition to be effective, all the above 3 must be in place.

What qualifies you?
1. You must acknowledge the presence of the governing authority. And in this case ,it's the kingdom of Heaven where Jesus is King.

2. You must first come to understand the document that stipulates your rights and promises and laws.
In this case it's the bible. You need to have known this document. Because if you don't know anything, you are like a lawyer moving in to court room when he knows nothing in the constitution. He can't win no matter how crafty or intelligent he may be.

3. There must be a good relationship between you and the authority.
If your relationship detoriated, first renew it again before you go to petition.

Actually Jesus advises us in the book of
Mathew 5:23-24
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Ref. 2 Chronicles 32:1-20
Am hoping everyone is ok and sound in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

In this life we live, a lot of battles will always come up and these battles are or may be of different magnitude and comes in different seasons. It's may be personal battles, family or even community.
Battles don't segregate. Either born again or not , faithful or not, battles (challenges) will always come.

As we see in verse 1 of
2 chronicles 32.
(After these deeds of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered Judah; he encamped against the fortified cities, thinking to win them over to himself)

You see, King Hezekiah was faithful to God and even in his faithfulness, the enemy arose not only to fight him but the attacking enemy wanted as well to capture the whole land and make Hezekiah and his people slaves. ( As of course the enemy had done to others).

But King Hezekiah applied some principles that helped him win the battle of which I think if each of us in battle could win if we apply them.

**Principle 1*
He consulted with his leaders and commanders.(Verse 3(a))

When the battle came, King Hezekiah dint decide by himself, he didn't only trust his brain.
He consulted his mighty men on what to do.
Please my dear brothers and sisters, when battle comes or in case of any challenges, you need to have "mighty men " by your side to consult.
You need to have wise and mature men and women by your side from whom you will have counsel.
If you are a pastor, wife, husband, Business man or woman, in whatever you do, you will need to have men and women by your side and not only men and women but men and women of understanding.

(Job 8:8-9
For inquire, please, of the former age, And consider the things discovered by their fathers; For we were born yesterday, and know nothing, Because our days on earth are a shadow. Will they not teach you and tell you, And utter words from their hearts?

Don't only trust your head after all two heads are better

Today's message

Gift of salvation

My brothers and sisters in the Lord
We bless the Lord for yet another day to testify of the Lord's greatness

God really loves us
And to affirm that God so loved us, He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die for us and have our sin forgiven that we who were meant for death may have life and life it abundance.

Am pretty sure time has come and today is the day
That we may proclaim the good news of the unending love of God unto the sons and daughters of men.
So that no one will ever say I never heard.

Like we all believed and got born again and therefore made a covenant to keep on course of salvation.
Let's really keep on course

For all that He has done and given unto us confirms His love unto us.

I understand we are not on a simple course, this road to salvation is not an easy one. It's full of temptations and tricks of the enemy.
We just have to tighten our belts for victory awaits us for that what he promised.

Mathew 19:27-29
Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?” So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

This confirms unto us the crown that awaits us.

I urge you to move along with those that are on the course
And don't be taken off course or delayed by those who get confused on the course because of the world pleasures.
