GROUNDBREAKING | ISINGIRO DISTRICT

Alhamdulillah, we officially launched the construction of a 5-classroom block, ICT center, and library at Kishuro Primary School.

The ceremony was honored by Lt. Col. Bright Rwamirama, Minister and MP for Isingiro North, as Guest of Honor.

This project, which will be built in memory of Dr. Anas A. Kaliisa, marks a new beginning for learners in the community.

In partnership with Salam Charity Foundation and Iqra Foundation Mbarara, we are building more than classrooms—we are building futures.

A Step Toward Hope Through Education

Today, the House of Zakat and Waqf Uganda (HoZWU) team visited Kishuro Primary School in Isingiro District, Western Uganda to finalize the BoQs for the foundation phase of a new school block.

The planned block will include 7 classrooms, a library, and an ICT section, creating a better learning environment for children who currently study in very limited facilities.

The visit was led by Dr. Ibrahim Matovu (Chairman, Education Committee) together with CEO Sheikh Muhammad Kibaate and Dr. Namungo Hamzah, Head of Research and Training, alongside a team of engineers assessing the technical requirements.

This project is being developed in honor of the late Dr. Anas A. Kaliisa, whose legacy continues to inspire investment in knowledge and community transformation.

Every classroom built is a doorway to opportunity, dignity, and a brighter future for our children.

RAMADHAN IN ACTION | IFTAR WITH DIGNITY - 162 Vulnerable Muslims Supported in Kampala Communities.

We successfully completed our first round of Iftar Distribution, reaching 162 urban and semi-urban vulnerable people in Wandegeya, Katanga, Makerere, and Bwaise.

Each hamper went beyond food — it carried care, dignity, and hope, ensuring no one breaks their fast forgotten.

This noble initiative is a joint effort by House of Zakat and Waqf Uganda 🇺🇬 and Al-Tarmidh Foundation 🇲🇾 — uniting hearts across borders in the spirit of Ramadhan.

🤍 “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like theirs.”
