Prophet Allan Menya

*YOU ARE A ROLE MODEL*

*Brethren, together follow my example and observe those who live after the pattern we have set for you*
_*Philippians 3:17 (AMPC)*_

Daniel 12:3 says, *“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament….”* The word translated “Shine” here means, among other things, to inspire. So, you are called to inspire others; to give leadership. You are a role model.

That is what Jesus meant when He said, *“Ye are the light of the world…”* (Matthew 5:14), and as earlier inferred, light gives leadership. This lets you know your calling as a Christian. But the question is, how are you inspiring others?

It is something spiritual. It is not about how many want to dress like you or wear your kind of hairdo. If that is all that is inspiring about you, it is not good enough, because those are fleshly things. Let people be motivated by the move of the Holy Spirit in your life. Let those around you be inspired by the love of God and the wisdom of God that flow out of you.

For example, it was declared concerning Daniel that *“…an excellent spirit was in him…”* (Daniel 6:3). He had excellent wisdom. It should be the same about you. Let the light of God and His wisdom be seen in you, so much so that when you speak, great drops of wisdom effuse from you to bless people.

The Apostle Paul made the profound and audacious statement we read in our opening verse. Can you say the same thing to those around you? Notice he didn’t say, _“Pattern your life after God,”_ even though that is implied; rather, he said, *“Follow my example.”*

Have the same consciousness, because you are the God-man, the Christ-man in your world today. You are a light in a dark world; so, shine ever so brightly. Inspire your world. You have been empowered for it. Train and inspire others in the way of the Lord; be an example and a mentor to others. Let men see your good works and glorify the Lord.

*CHRIST JESUS OUR SUBSTITUTE*

*For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him*
_*2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)*_

The word substitution, even though not expressly used in the Scriptures, defines and properly encapsulates what Jesus came to do. It means to replace something or someone with another, to take the place of another or to put in another one’s place. Jesus being our substitute means He came to take our place so that we might take His place. No religious leader ever did that; no one ever did that for anybody, but Jesus did.

Even the Prophets prophesied about this in the Old Testament; they prophesied about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). The Prophet Isaiah, for example, tells us in Isaiah 53:4-6, *“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. AIl we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”*

The Prophet Isaiah saw this in a vision back in his day; it had not happened yet, but he spoke in the past tense because, in the mind of God, it already happened. The Bible calls Jesus the Lamb of God that was slain from the foundation of the world. Notice the latter part of the 6th verse: *"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”*

All our sins were laid on Jesus; that is what the prophet saw—the vision of the Messiah bearing upon Himself the sins of all humanity. Read verse 8; it says, *“He was taken from prison and from judgment…for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”* Eventually, when Jesus came, He faced Caiaphas’ judgment; He faced Pilate’s judgment. Afterwards, they killed Him.

The Bible says it pleased the LORD to bruise Him, meaning it was God who gave Him up to die so His soul would be an offering for sin. His sacrifice, His substitutionary work, produced us! That's why we live in His Name today. We have been made His righteousness as stated in our opening text.

Prophet Allan Menya

*YOU ARE ACCEPTED IN HIM*

*According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.*
_*Ephesians 1:4-7 (KJV)*_

Some people live their lives in the hope that God will accept them on the basis of their good works. But our good works aren’t enough to give us a right standing with God. You may even be going through a situation and thinking, “When I look at my life, I can’t even find any sin; so, why am I going through this?”

Well, the Bible says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Furthermore, Galatians 2:16 says, …by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

The struggle to live right, to please God as to be accepted by Him, is unnecessary. Why should you work so hard, struggling to be accepted by Him, when the Spirit already calls us through the Word as “…accepted in the beloved” (Ephesians 1:6)? You’ve been accepted and declared righteous before God. Accept this truth and now live to please Him accordingly.

God chose you before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in love, and He predestined you to be accepted in His presence. It’s part of what His righteousness in your spirit has produced for you; you can boldly stand in the presence of God without guilt, inferiority or condemnation. In Christ, you have right standing before God. Hallelujah!

Now that you’re born again, you dwell in God’s presence, and you’re at liberty to serve Him as He desires. Until and unless this becomes your present-hour consciousness, your Christian walk will be a struggle. Christianity for you should be an everyday experience of divine fellowship.

*YOU ARE A RECONCILER*

*It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor)*
_*2 Corinthians 5:19 (AMPC)*_

In Luke 19:10, the Lord Jesus said, *“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”* He accomplished this mission and returned to heaven, but He entrusted us with the same responsibility. Just as the Father sent Him, He also sent us: *“…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you”* (John 20:21). Now, we are the ones to seek and save the lost. This is our calling; we are soul winners, reconciling men to God

In your city, think like this: “The son of man has come to seek and to save those who are lost.” Everywhere you go, you arrive with this purpose. Whether on a bus, in an aeroplane, or in a marketplace, you are there to seek and save the lost—to bring salvation to someone who needs it. This is your mission.

In 2 Corinthians 5:19, the Scripture says, *“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”* This is powerful! God, the Chief Reconciler, was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. But He continues this work through you. Today, God is in you, reconciling the world to Himself.

And like Him, we do not count people’s trespasses against them. We are imitators of God; we copy Him as well-beloved children imitate their father (Ephesians 5:1-2). Furthermore, He has committed to us the word or message of reconciliation. Therefore, keep proclaiming the Good News of Salvation, bringing men and women out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Hallelujah!

*PERFECT AND FULL-GROWN*

*Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you*
_*Philippians 3:15 (KJV)*_

Some people believe that spiritual maturity is only attainable when we get to heaven, and that on earth, we can only keep growing. But that’s not true. God’s Word encourages Christians to strive for maturity and full growth in their spiritual journey.

The goal is for every Christian to attain this level of spiritual maturity. Ephesians 4:11-12 emphasises this truth as Paul highlights the five-fold ministry offices or gifts within the Church and their distinct purposes. It says, *“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”*

The ensuing verse 13 tells us the purpose for all that we read in verses 11-12; it is for us all to come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, perfect and full-grown: *“…until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him”* (Ephesians 4:13 AMPC).

This is not in heaven but in the earth! He expects us to grow to the full measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ here on earth. It is about embodying Christ’s fullness in every aspect of life, reflecting His glory through your words, actions, and character. Make this your vision of growth.

Make up your mind that this would be your experience. Be determined to walk in this light—to walk in the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Christ in you is the hope of glory, in reality, and in totality. Praise God!

*RECEIVE*

*For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.*
_*Romans 5:17 (KJV)*_

Many do not seem to know how to receive. Receiving is by faith; it is with your spirit, and it is not something you do passively. To receive means to take active possession; to reach out, take a hold of something and make it yours.

In Acts 3:6, Peter addressed a man who was crippled from birth and said, *“…silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”* In verse 7, we read that Peter took the crippled man by the hand and helped him up. The Bible says, *“…immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked…”* (Acts 3:7-8). The man could have said to Peter, _“Please don’t pull me up, my legs are too feeble to carry me”_; no! He received.

We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness; all spiritual blessings that exist in Christ Jesus. Receive. If there is no receiving from your end, it amounts to nothing. Your response to God and His Word is the proof that you have received. And that is what faith is: the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. The change you desire in your life, finances, health and family have already taken place; receive and act accordingly.

*HE WAS OUR RANSOM*

*When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses*
_*Matthew 8:16-17 (KJV)*_

Matthew, in his own writing, lets us know in the verses above that Jesus came to fulfil what Isaiah had prophesied: the removal of our sins. He gave His life as a ransom for many: *“And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many”* (Matthew 20:27-28). A ransom is the consideration or what is demanded to be paid for the release of a captive.

The whole world was captive to the devil, captive to sin and therefore condemned to die because of sin. We were legal captives of the devil until Jesus paid for us to be free from sins, free from Satan’s dominion, and from spiritual death. We were in the bo***ge of spiritual death and separated from God, having no hope and without God in the world. But all that changed when Jesus gave His life for your life. He was the price paid for your freedom.

The Bible says, *“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God…”* (1 Peter 3:18). That is substitution. He gave Himself that you may be free to serve God and live for Him. He was sinless, holy and righteous; and now you are like Him; holy, righteous and sin-free. Colossians 1:21-22 says, *“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.”*

Now you see why we so rejoice as Christians and are forever full of praise and joy. It is because of this message of substitution; Jesus was our ransom! He took your place of sin so that you may take His place of righteousness. He took your place of poverty, suffering and shame so that you may have His life of glory, power, dominion and abundance. Take your place in Christ! Live the life He has given you—the life of glory and excellence.

*THE POWER OF THE TONGUE*

*Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof*
_*Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)*_

You have far more influence on your destiny than you may realise. Whether you live or die, succeed or fail, are rich or poor, weak or strong, great or small; it’s a lot more dependent on you than on God. If you were waiting on God to do anything about your life, you might have been waiting in vain, because He already did all that’s required for you to have the best life.

The Bible says the works were finished from the
foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3 NKJV). All you have to do now is ENJOY everything that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ provided for you. 2 Peter 1:3 says, *“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness….”* You have been given everything you require to live triumphantly, happily and fulfilled in life. But your response is the key.

Every time you speak, you shape your life and future to either align with God’s divine provisions and destiny for you or to be at variance with it. Where you are today—your current state and estate—are the result of what you said yesterday. Thus, the next five or ten years will produce for you the harvest of your current words. Words are powerful and important; they create or destroy. You determine how you want your life to be, in line or at variance with the Word.

When you face challenges, keep your confidence in the Lord and get radical with your affirmation of the Word. As you speak, the Spirit will cause things to happen in line with your words; He needs your words. Every now and then, declare, _“I’m healthy and strong, because I have the life of God in me!”_ Don’t wait for symptoms to show up in your body to make such declarations. Talk that way now, and it will keep sickness away from you. It is up to you to create your triumphant life and blessed future with the word of God on your lips.

*THE THRONE OF GRACE*

*Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need*
_*Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)*_

In the Old Testament, there was a place called the Mercy Seat; it was the place of grace. When the High Priest came into the Most Holy Place where the Ark of God was, he consulted with God from between the cherubim of glory, which sat over the Mercy Seat, where the blood was offered.

But in Hebrews 4, writing to the Jewish Christians to help them understand what God had done in the New Testament, Paul said, *“…we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God…”* (Hebrews 4:14). Jesus is our High Priest. While all the other priests ministered in the first sanctuary, the High Priest alone went into the inner sanctuary.

But Hebrews 4:16 says, *"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”* That Mercy Seat in the Old Testament is now called the throne of grace, meaning that grace has now been enthroned! Romans 5:2 says we have access by faith into this grace.

We do not need an intermediary anymore. We now have access in Christ Jesus into this “throne of grace,” to obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need.

The throne of grace is the place where grace reigns like a king! In that place or seat of grace, you do not ask God for anything; you “obtain” what you want. The word “obtain” means you come in there to collect or obtain grace!

Do you require grace for anything in your life today? Collect the grace you want; you are already in the throne room where grace reigns; so boldly obtain the grace you need for that assignment, and for your next and higher level of glory in your walk with God.
