*CHOSEN FOR BLESSINGS*

*And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise*
_*Galatians 3:29 (KJV)*_

Our theme verse says if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and an heir according to the promise. This debunks the general assumption that everybody can’t be successful. Although, in a sense, everybody can’t be successful, but not amongst God’s people, because we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; we are already successful and prosperous.

Peradventure you got into trouble, because you are the seed of Abraham, the blessing will bring you out of trouble; it will locate solutions for you. If you have questions, it will prompt the answers within you or direct you to where the answers are. Understand something about the blessing; it is the effect and result of God’s divine presence in your life. The Bible says Joseph was a prosperous man, because God was with him (Genesis 39:2); for you, it is even better: He is in you!

Many of God’s children need to come to the full knowledge of Christianity; they need to know what God has done for them and in them, in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:3 says, *“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”* You have already been blessed with “ALL” spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You already have everything you require for life and godliness: righteousness, health, prosperity, victory, success, joy, peace and every blessing from God is yours in Christ.

Live every day with the consciousness that you are blessed; that you have been chosen and called into the life of blessing. Think blessings; talk blessings; walk in blessings.

*HIS BODY WAS BROKEN FOR YOU*

*I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing*
_*John 15:5 (KJV)*_

The night Jesus made the statement above was the same night He was betrayed. All the gospels recorded events that transpired that night. The Synoptic gospels—Matthew, Mark, and Luke—focused on the Communion Jesus had with His disciples while John focused on certain important teachings Jesus gave from the 13th chapter all the way to the 16th chapter. It was indeed a long night

Something significant happened during the Communion, which occurred earlier in the night. Paul, by revelation, gives us insight into this: *“…the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me”* (1 Corinthians 11:23-24). Jesus said to His disciples, *"Eat my body which is broken for you.”* This was the bread of life that if any man would eat, he would live forever (John 6:51).

Shortly afterwards, He said to them, *“I am the vine, ye are the branches…”* (John 15:5). This was no ordinary teaching; He wasn’t talking religiously. This glorious relationship came about as they broke bread and drank the cup, being His body and blood. On that night,He brought them into a new kind of relationship that wasn’t there before. Now, in this oneness with them, He headed to the cross in their place. Do you see why there is no need for you to ever be broken anymore?

There’s no need for your child to be born sick. There is no reason for you to be diabetic, to have heart trouble, cancer, asthma, or even the flu; His body was broken for you. What if you feel symptoms in your body? That’s why He said to us, *“…this do in remembrance of me”* (1 Corinthians 11:24). So, as you take the Communion, you say, _“I haven’t forgotten that His body was broken for me. I refuse to be sick! I proclaim divine health for my body.”_

*WORKING THE WORK*

*For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation*
_*Romans 10:10 (KJV)*_

There are three vital things you must do to effectively work the Word and enjoy God’s provisions for you always. First, your heart must line up with the Word. The Bible says, *“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…”* (Romans 10:10). That means you are made right with God when you come into agreement with His Word in your heart.

The second thing is, your mind must line up with your heart on the Word. This implies that the Word must have meaning in your understanding. Without that meaning, you can not communicate what is in your heart through language.

Then, third, you must speak the Word—“rhema” (Greek); a word directed to a specific person, at a specific time, for a specific purpose. It is the active Word given for a particular situation. That was what Ezekiel uttered in the valley of dry bones; he said, *“I prophesied as He (the Lord) commanded me”* (Ezekiel 37:10)

If your speech or utterance is not in line or agreement with what God has said, you will get the wrong result. The opening text says, *“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”* (Romans 10:10). The word translated “confession is made” means to speak in consent, or in agreement with another.

The inspiration of the Spirit provides us with God’s Word (rhema). Our meditation on this word or declaration of it produces tremendous results, bringing the Word into manifestation.

*REFUSE TO BE LUKEWARM*

*So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth*
_*Revelation 3:16 (KJV)*_

A lot of people use our opening verse to preach to sinners, but it’s not talking about sinners at all. The Lord Jesus was talking to Christians who had become tepid or unenthusiastic, unprofitable and ineffective. These were in the church at Laodicea, for they were the ones the Lord was addressing in Revelation 3:14-21.

A Christian who is lukewarm is an unprofitable servant. In Matthew 25, Jesus told a parable about a servant who did nothing with the talent of money his master entrusted to him and was described as unprofitable.

Jesus began the parable by saying, *“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man…”* (Matthew 25:14). Read the entire parable up to the 30th verse and you would observe that the unprofitable servant He was referring to was a member of the Kingdom of Heaven. He is termed the unprofitable servant because he did not produce results with the talent given to him.

The 30th verse also shows us the fate of the unprofitable servant. The Master said, *“…cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”* The only hope a lukewarm Christian has is to repent: *“As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent”* (Revelation 3:19).

If you’ve been lukewarm, you need to repent urgently because the Holy Spirit came into your life to make you active for God; He came to impact you for service. He came to make you fruitful, profitable, efficient and effective. Glory to God!

*VICTORY IN HIS NAME*

*…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God*
_*Revelation 2:7 (KJV)*_

In the verse above, like several other portions of the Scriptures, we find the Lord constantly prompting us to overcome. In a reiterative pattern, He announced in Revelation 2:11, *“…He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”* This is Jesus talking, and in Revelation 3:12, He repeated, *“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God….”*

Jesus already overcame the world, and when He did, we were in Him. His victory was for us. In John 16:33, He said, *“…be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”* In Him, we defeated Satan and all the demons of hell, but we’re required to maintain our victory; that’s our role. That’s the fight of faith.

The Lord knows that the adversary would try to fight us with the systems of this world. But He charged us to resist him, steadfast in the faith. This is what the fight of faith is about, and He didn’t leave us without the weapon for the fight. When David confronted Goliath, he said, *“…Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts…”* (1 Samuel 17:45). That was his weapon: The Name of the LORD of hosts! With that Name, he overcame the Philistines.

That’s our weapon today. Jesus said, *“…In my name shall they cast out devils…”* (Mark 16:17). That means, in His Name, you’ll rule over, control, and dispel demons. Then He said we should use His Name in all circumstances: *“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”* (Colossians 3:17). That’s the victory!

As you go to your office, school, place of work, or business today, go in the Name of Jesus. That means no matter what’s waiting for you there, you already have the victory; you’ll overpower it in the Name of Jesus! Others may be complaining about their dwindling business fortunes, but your testimony is different. Why? You’re running your businesses in the Name of Jesus.
The Bible says, *“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world…”* (1 John 5:4). You’ve overcome the world with its hatred, death, deception, falsehood and falsities, economies, and economics—in His Name. Glory to God!

*GLORIFIED IN CHRIST*

*To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory*
_*Colossians 1:27 (KJV)*_

In His prayer to the Father in John 17, the Lord Jesus made some of the most enthralling statements that encapsulate His love for us and oneness with us. Think about what He said in verse 22: *“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”* This is huge! Jesus has given you glory.

Glory means beauty, excellence, success, greatness and prosperity. Glory includes health. The Bible says *“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”* (3 John 1:2). God does not want you sick; He wants you healthy all the time. That’s a life of glory.

2 Peter 1:3 says, *"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”* Your life is for the glory of God.

Talking about you, the new creation, the Bible says: *"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified”* (Romans 8:30). You have been glorified! Many Christians have believed that God predestinated them, called them, and justified them; but not many know they have been glorified.

Manifest the glory of God in your job, in your finances, and your family. Every so often, declare, _“I’m glorified in Christ. The dominion of sin, darkness and sickness is broken from my life. There’s joy in my life and my home. I walk in the glory of God always!”_ Blessed be God!

*SANCTIFICATION OF THE MESSENGER*

*If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work*
_*2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV)*_

Being a Christian, you have been commissioned to preach the Gospel; to take the message of God’s saving power to your world and beyond. The Bible says you have been enriched by Him in all utterance (1 Corinthians 1:5), letting you know that you are equipped for the job. Nevertheless, as a preacher or one ordained to bear His message of divine life, the way you deliver it has a lot to do with the quality of your personality, such that the result is either positive or negative, impactful or unimpactful.

Our opening scripture says, *“If a man therefore purge (sanctify) himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour….”* To be “sanctified” means to be separated or set apart unto God for His sacred use. It begins with the sanctification of the messenger; sanctifying the vessel. If the heart and mind of the one who bears the message are not renewed and purified by the Word, it does not matter what message he is carrying; it is corrupted. Soon enough what influences his personality will come to the fore, and the Christ-nature will be hidden behind the “ugly” frame.

This is why you must be fully yielded to the Word of God to mould your life and character. None of us was made for “dishonour”; each one of us has been raised for His glory, but you can decide if you are going to be a vessel of honour or a vessel of dishonour, by the kind of life that you live.

But thanks be unto God! He has granted each of us the ability to lead a life of righteousness and true holiness, and qualified us to be effective ministers of the Gospel of His grace: *“[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive”* (2 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC). Therefore, live up to your calling.

*REFUSE TO COMPROMISE*

*When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee*
_*Isaiah 43:2 (KKV)*_

You may find yourself buffeted by pressures and persecutions on every side for the sake of the Gospel; don’t despair. What you are doing has a future. Your labour in the Lord is not in vain; it is purposeful and eternal. God never promised that everything would be smooth or without challenges. He told us there would be difficulties, trials and adversaries. But in the midst of them all, He assured us of His presence and victory.

In our opening scripture; He did not say there would be no tempest or fire. The promise is not the absence of challenges but the assurance of His presence and protection for you in the midst of adversities. It helps you understand the reason He says, *“Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests”* (James 1:2).

The Bible tells us in Daniel 3 about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, three young men who stood firm in their faith despite fierce opposition. Their story is often remembered for the fiery furnace and their miraculous deliverance, but there is more to it. Before they were thrown into the flames, they faced condemnation, rejection and false accusations. They endured hatred and opposition simply because they refused to compromise their faith.

2 Corinthians 4:17 says, *“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”* So, there are things you will have to face, go through, stand against and confront for you to live the godly life that the Lord has given you. There may be adversaries on every side, but in the midst of them all, you are more than a conqueror. 2 Timothy 3:12 says, *“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”*

Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). He assures us in Matthew 28:20 (NIV), *“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”* Set your eyes on the future and on His glory. Refuse to be distracted by the temporary challenges. Be confident that no matter what, His Word will prevail in your life and His glory will always be revealed in and through you.

Prophet Allan Menya

*THE WORD MIXED WITH FAITH*

*But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves*
_*James 1:22 (KJV)*_

Faith is acting on the Word. God’s Word is all-powerful—having the ability to produce in you what it talks about. Nonetheless, God’s Word to you won’t produce any result except you act on it; the Word mixed with faith is what produces results. Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

Every time you hear God’s Word, faith comes to you in the Word. And because that Word is more real in your spirit than all physical circumstances, it propels you to action. That was what Abraham did; he mixed the Word with faith; he acted on what he heard. In Genesis 17:5, the Lord had told him *“…a father of many nations have I made thee”*; but at this time, Abraham was still childless. Then the Bible says Abraham believed *“…God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were”* (Romans 4:17).

The ensuing verses 19-21 says, *“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God….”* Could this be you? Could this be the description of your faith? It should, and must be. The Bible says for us to be *“…followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises”* (Hebrews 6:12).

Thus, like Abraham, always create the right environment for the Word to produce results in your life. Mix the Word with faith. Refuse to consider physical circumstances. Refuse to stagger at the Word of God through unbelief. Yes, God’s Word never fails, but the efficacy of God’s Word in your life depends on your response to the Word. Therefore, take a stand on God’s Word for yourself; be a doer of the Word, and your progress, victories, and success will not only be evident, but also consistent.

*THE BADGE OF AUTHORITY*

*And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son*
_*John 14:13 (KJV)*_

The Name of Jesus is not a religious formula; it is your badge of authority. It represents everything Jesus is and everything He has accomplished. When you use His Name, it is as though Jesus Himself were making the request or issuing the command. His Name is the greatest of all; it rules in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth.

Philippians 2:9-11 says, *“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”* That is the name that has been given to us to live by. The Lord Jesus gave us the legal right to use His Name.

He said in Mark 16:17-18, *“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”* That means when you speak in His Name, demons flee, sickness bows, and miracles happen. The power is not in how loud you speak, but in the authority of the Name.

It is not about emotion; it is about revelation. When you know what that Name represents and who you are in Him, you speak with boldness and results follow. The apostles understood this. In Acts 3:6, Peter said to a man who was crippled from birth, *“…In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."*

Immediately, strength came to the man’s feet and anklebones, and he was healed instantly (Acts 3:7-8). That is the power of the Name in action. You have been authorized to use that same Name. Use it to change situations. Use it in prayer. Use it to rebuke fear, command order and increase in your finances. Use it to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead.

Colossians 3:17 says, *“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”* In other words, live in and by the power of that Name: it is your symbol of authority, your emblem of dominion. Use it to reign over circumstances, keep yourself in divine health, and maintain the triumphant life God has given you.
