Day 5: Discipline, Order, and Divine Direction

Great businesses are both data-driven and Spirit-led.
When the founder of Bread House chose the name, someone later confirmed its divine meaning, Bethlehem, the House of Bread. It was a reminder that even naming can carry purpose.
But purpose alone isn’t enough. He took responsibility for cleanliness around his shop, categorized customers, tracked costs, and invested in technology.

Faith without order is frustration.

When you combine discipline, systems, and divine direction, that’s where miracles happen in the marketplace.

Excellence Requires Experimentation

Excellence is not an event, it’s a process.
The founder of Bread House tested his bread recipe 2 to 3 times a week for over a year until he got it right. He even went back to study the theory of yeast to understand what made bread rise.
That’s the spirit of mastery. He didn’t chase cheapness, he chased quality. Bread House doesn’t compete on price; it competes on excellence.
Whatever you do, serve as though you’re serving the Lord.

Be known for the best version of what you do.

Day 3: Don’t Be the ‘Man with the Key’

If your business cannot run without you, then you don’t own a business; you own a job.
The founder once said:
“When you can’t switch off your phone, or you keep all the keys and receipt books, you are the man with the key.”
He realized success meant building systems, not stress. Today, every Bread House process is documented from customer service to accounting. When an issue arises, it’s used to improve the manual.
That’s what real stewardship looks like: creating something that works even when you’re not

Day 2: Know When to Pause, Pivot, or Learn

In business, not every chapter will be a win. Giving up or changing direction is part of growth.
The Bread House story reminded me:
“If you find yourself in a hole — stop digging.”
Many of us keep spending, producing, or insisting long after data shows it’s time to stop. Numbers don’t lie. Look at your books, your costs, and your margins. If something is not working, pause and learn.
When the founder hit hard times, he went back to learn — entrepreneurship, accounting, customer care — and came back stronger.

Day 1: Wisdom Comes from Unexpected Places

Sometimes, your greatest professional insight won’t come from a book, a mentor, or a seminar — it will come from a client or someone you least expect.
In business, we must remain teachable. God often speaks through people around us — a customer’s comment, a team member’s suggestion, or even a moment of correction. The marketplace is one of God’s classrooms, and wisdom can show up in ordinary conversations.
👉 Stay humble.
👉 Stay observant.
👉 Listen — even when it stings.
God can use anyone to give you the next key that unlocks your business growth.

It was an inspiring and insightful session where we explored what it truly means to rebuild, stay resilient, and lead with purpose in challenging times. Over the next few days, we will be sharing some of the key lessons and reflections from this powerful session, practical truths every business leader and entrepreneur can apply on their own journey of rising again.

In God’s kingdom, character outweighs possessions. Houses, wealth, and material achievements will fade, but true legacy endures.
So, what kind of legacy are we passing on to the next generation?
Exodus 12:14 reminds us that some things are meant to be remembered and carried forward through generations. The greatest inheritance we can leave is not material, but spiritual—a life of obedience, love for the Lord, and integrity.
Like David in Acts 13:22, may the next generation be known as people after God’s own heart, willing to do His will. These are the generations God is raising—humble before Him, seeking His purposes above all else.
