1 corinthians 12:1 ....

12aAbooluganda, ssaagala mmwe obutategeera ebikwata ku birabo ebya Mwoyo.
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.

2 bMumanyi nti bwe mwali Abaamawanga mwabuzibwabuzibwanga ne mutwalibwa eri ebifaananyi ebitayogera.
You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.

3 cNoolwekyo njagala mutegeere nti tewali muntu aba ne Mwoyo wa Katonda n’ayogera nti, “Yesu akolimirwe.” Era tewali n’omu asobola okwogera nti, “Yesu ye Mukama waffe,” wabula ku bwa Mwoyo Mutukuvu.

Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

4 dWaliwo ebirabo bya ngeri nnyingi, naye Mwoyo abigaba y’omu.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
5 Waliwo engeri nnyingi ez’okuweererezaamu, naye Mukama aweerezebwa y’omu.
and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
6 eWaliwo okukola kwa ngeri nnyingi kyokka Katonda asobozesa bonna mu byonna bye bakola y’omu.
and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

13 Habits to Avoid in the House of God

The house of the Lord is a place of reverence, order, and spiritual encounter. As believers, our conduct should reflect honor for God and respect for His presence.

1. Engaging in conversations or answering calls during service – This distracts both you and others from receiving the Word.

2. Sitting with folded arms during teaching – It can reflect disengagement instead of a posture of readiness to receive and learn.

3. Disregarding the guidance of ushers – Order is a vital part of ministry; cooperation reflects humility and discipline.

4. Allowing your phone to ring loudly or rushing out to answer calls – This disrupts the flow of worship and the atmosphere of reverence.

5. Consistent lateness to church services – Coming late dishonors God’s presence and causes you to miss vital moments of impartation.

6. Distracting others through inappropriate attention or behavior – The house of God is not a place for such conduct but for focus on Christ.

7. Sleeping during the sermon – This limits your ability to receive the Word that is meant to edify and transform you.

8. Remaining seated during moments of prayer or praise without valid reason – Active participation reflects spiritual engagement and unity.

9. Displaying impatience during the service – Constantly checking the time can signal dishonor and disconnect from what God is doing.

10. Borrowing items and failing to return them – Integrity should be upheld in all things, especially among believers.

11. Leaving before the close of service without a genuine reason – Staying until the end shows honor for the full counsel of the gathering.

12. Holding conversations outside while service is ongoing – This reflects a lack of value for the Word and the gathering.

13. Coming to church unprepared (without a Bible or notebook) – Being equipped helps you engage deeply and retain what God is speaking.

Let us approach the house of God with reverence, preparedness, and a heart ready to receive.
