Our organization is located in Uganda, Kamuli District, Mbulamuti Sub County leading profound transformation Community based organization, founded on the basis of supporting the youths, women, children and other vulnerable people. Our commitment is to stand firm in our actions, which we believe will provide results and positive changes in our nation. To achie

ve this, we have a team of leaders and visionaries who every day make possible the transformation we want. Besides these leaders, support our allies are essential to ensure the continuity of our actions. Also have a very well structured volunteer program, which welcomes people of all ages, sexes, faiths, vocational and educational levels, who wish to be linked to the social impact actions of the youths. Vision: Our vision and mission is to promote community empowerment through building local capacities to their own activities for self-sustainability. Mission. The mission of the initiative is to achieve an economically, self reliant and empowered community through networking with other partners in development while targeting all vulnerable groups without discrimination. Eden Ministries serves as a mobilizing, networking, information, advocacy for improved livelihoods, quality health and better education, promoting economic empowerment for community particularly women and youth to improve self-reliance, building their capacities to manage their own income generating activities. Aim: Our aim is to improve the standard of living of the marginalized groups by promoting sustainable development through provision of socio-economic activities, good health and accessing them with quality educational services. Thematic Areas: Eden Ministries ’s work is carried out through Capacity Building, HIV/AIDs advocacy that include, AIDS education and training, counseling, prevention, primary healthcare, support and care, implementation of income generation programmes, and provision of educational support to needy Orphans of AIDS, girl child and other vulnerable children trainings and vocational training and protection for school dropouts and adult education and networking thus bringing Eden Ministries’ programs under the following thematic areas:
• Economic empowerment and skill development.
• Health and safe water • Education and basic Early childhood
• Nutrition and food security • Spiritual empowerment
•Human rights and child protection • Community development Programs. The Location of Eden Ministries Uganda

Kamuli district is located in southeastern Uganda about 150km from Kampala. Kamuli district borders Kayunga district in the west, Kaberamaido district and Soroti district in the north, across Lake Kyoga, Kaliro district in the northeast, Iganga district in the southeast and Jinja district in the south. Administratively the district has 3 counties, 17 sub-counties, 1 town council, 104 parishes and 1293 villages (Zones). Kamuli district has a land area of about 3,444 sq km, 835 sq km of water and 27,909 hectares under forestation. Kamuli district is situated 68km from Jinja where the Eden Ministries Uganda regional office is located. Economic and Social information
The main economic activity in Kamuli district is agriculture with emphasis on food crops (rice, sweet potatoes, bananas, maize, finger millet, sorghum, soya beans, simsim), cash crops (coffee, cotton, sugar cane) and vegetables (tomatoes, cabbage and onions). Other economic activities include fishing in River Nile & Lake Kyoga, ranching (cattle, goats, sheep, chicken), fish farming, bee keeping and retail trade in the urban centers
Kamuli District is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society, with the predominant ethnic group being the Basoga. Other ethnic groups include Itesots, Banyoro, Bakenyi, Baruli, Banyara, Baganda, Basamia and Banyole. The predominantly language spoken in Kamuli district is Lusoga. Population
The district’s estimated population is 690,300 people (UBOS 2009 mid-year projections), 38% of which is 15-49 years (Table 3). The women in the reproductive age group (15-49 years) are 20% of the district population and constitute 39.4 % of the females in the district.
