What Is the Rapture?

The Rapture refers to a future event when Jesus Christ will suddenly gather (or “catch up”) His true believers—both the dead and the living—to meet Him in the air and be with Him forever.
The term “rapture” itself comes from the Latin “rapturo” (from the Greek “harpazō”), meaning “to sn**ch away” or “to take by force.”

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

This scripture gives us an insight into God's nature and operation. It means God is fire and fire is godly. The smartest path to godliness and purity is staying on fire, because it means you are abiding in God. In Greek context, the phrase "God is a consuming fire" emphasizes this aspect of God's nature as being both purifying and completely consuming, leaving nothing unrefined or unjudged. This reflects the holiness and righteousness of God that tolerates no impurity.

This verse directly states that God is light, emphasizing His purity, holiness, and absence of darkness.
