* DEVOTIONS*
May 7th 2021

*1 Samuel 16:11-12 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all your children? And he said, There remains yet the youngest, and, behold, he keeps the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come here. [12]And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.*

*YOU HAVE A DESTINY.*

It's surprising that When such a great opportunity came to Jesse's house to anoint the next king of Israel, all sons were present but David was not notified, he was left to look after the sheep.
Perhaps to his father he was irrelevant and insignificant in this matter of the next king unlike his brothers.

You may not seem to be presenting enough physically before men's eyes to believe that God can use you but you actually don't need a crowd to believe in you if God approves you, He can turn insignificance into significance. You are destined for more and no one can stop that.

If God has called and chosen you whether men believe in you or not, you will still function. You might have missed that service when hands were being laid on others to be used by God but your oil can only operate on you.

God will preserve your place for you until He establishes you if you set your eyes on Him. You are destined to reign and your anointing will only flow on you to usher you into your destiny. He will sustain your breath until you are established, be of good courage. Prepare yourself with the word that when your time comes you will be ready. You are the one that God has chosen to serve Him and to bring Him honour. You may not have what it takes before men but God qualifies you.

*[NLT] Isaiah 64:1-4 Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down! How the mountains would quake in your presence! As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble. Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame! When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked! For since the world began, no ear has heard, and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for Him!*

*WHEN HE BURST OUT OF HEAVEN; _HIS PRESENCE._*

God never shows up and things remain the same, His presence is always impact-fully felt by everything around.

Whatsoever that God did before, He is intentional to do again now more greatly, He did marvellous things before, He is intentional to do again now, He moved before, He is intentional to move again now, He revived men before, He is intentional to do it again. He is intentional to do what no ear neither eye nor heart has ever recorded.

The change we long for from God, His move we desire for, the revival and refreshment we yearn for is found in the presence of God. He has taken residence in our hearts and made His presence freely accessible and available to us, His presence is with and in us. He has placed eternity (His very nature) in our hearts. God doesn't need to burst from Heaven and come down for He is already in you ready to flow out of you that the world may experience His presence.

If long ago God came down and did awesome deeds beyond the highest expectations of men, then now that He residing in us and with us here, He intends to do beyond what He did in times before for He is the God who does from glory to glory.

As long as we can yield to His Spirit, we can be assured that beyond our greatest expectations, imaginations and craving of hearts, God will move and when He moves problems cant persist, He can't show up and disease and sickness remain, when God sho

*John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.*

*THE UNSHAKEABLE TRUTH.*

When one gets to know the truth, he is made free. Freedom is in the knowledge of the truth and the lack of knowledge of the truth is destruction. Jesus the word of God is this truth that makes all men free.

It's for freedom that Christ has set us free; divine health is freedom, success is freedom, prosperity is freedom for God delights in the prosperity of His people, peace that surpasses all understanding is freedom, being satisfied with a long life is freedom and when one knows the truth, He is ushered into this these freedoms. God wants you totally free from inside out, He wants you to prosper in good health as your soul prospers.

Christ came to give us freedom for the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. When truth has a place in you, you are made free.

TRUTH Is What God has said; He said by His stripes you were healed and that truth that makes you free irrespective of how you feel, He said He shall supply all your needs and that's truth irrespective of what may seem unavailable on your table or in pockets, He said the righteous shall flourish and this is truth and you do well when you believe it, He said all things are working out for your good and that's truth that makes you free. Seek to know the truth that makes you free not things that keep you in chains. The more you know truth, the more free you are made.

*Prayer:* Am for truth, I believe the truth which is the person of Jesus. I believe this truth is my health, supplier, protector, guide. I live in all that God has availed for you for it choose to know only the truth. My love for truth deepens daily by daily and am established in it, God whatsoever you say concerning is truth and I believe it in Jesus' name Amen.

The gospel is life and Life is urgent, the rest of things can wait but Life can't, Paul understood it's urgency that even in bounds he still preached it, persecutions couldn't hold him back, he counted all things as loss for there is nothing in this world that is more important than the Gospel not even our very lives and pleasures. Urgently must it be preached and urgently those who hear it must receive it.

January 23rd 2021

*[KJV] Joshua 23:10-11 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, He it is that fights for you, as He has promised you. [11]Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.*

*LET GOD FIGHT FOR YOU.*

When God fights for you multitudes are put to flight. When one understands that it's God who fights for Him, He rests for God has never, is not going and will never lose any battle.

In *Hebrews 11:34 [KJV]* scriptures say by faith men *"..out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.* this is so our nature. Scriptures speak of king Saul killing thousands but David tens of thousands (1samuel 18:7) because David was a lover of God and relied on Him to fight his battles.

When God fights for you, you always emerge more than a conqueror no matter what is against you, an overcomer irrespective of the challenges, with our trust in God, He is fighting for us continuously and uncompromisingly winning everything for us.

Let Him fight for you. You can't be disappointed when He is in the ring fighting for you, you cant lose. Under the old covenant one could put a thousand to flight but under the new covenant of grace nothing shall be impossible when one believes. Whatsoever stands against you, you can put it to flight for greater is He that is in you than He that's in the world.

Sicknesses, diseases and all the works of the enemy flee for the God who fights has won it all through Jesus' death and resurrection. Trust God and gladly take the back seat and watch Him fetch you trophies for He daily causes us to triumph in every place. Don't flee from what is supposed to flee from you.

*Prayer:* It's an honour having you as my God, my fighter. I bless you today and worship you for who you are and what you have done. You alone is worthy of all my praise. I surrender it all to you, I choose to trust you God and let you win for me. In Jesus

*[NLT] Mark 1:21-28 Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law. Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit began shouting, "Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One sent from God!" Jesus cut him short. "Be quiet! Come out of the man," he ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.*

*THE REAL AUTHORITY.*

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God's power. It carries authority over everything there is. There is no authority higher than that of the Christ and to us has He given this real authority to manifest the glory of God.

Jesus did more than just sitting people down and doing talk, He taught with real authority that even the demons trembled whenever He showed up. He taught with real authority for He taught the word of God which never returns void but accomplishes the desired will of God. The authority He taught with ministered to the needs of the hearers from the inside out that's why whenever He taught, men went back not the same because when He taught His message carried a divine command that no demon, situation or disease could ignore or resist.

*Mark 1:27-28 .... "What sort of new teaching is this?" they asked excitedly. "It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!"....*

Christ has given us the same real authority He operated with to do what He did but even greater works than He did John 14:12. He has given us the same real authority to cast out devils, healed the sick, depopulate hell and populate heaven through the Gospel, bringing everything into obedience to God. He has given us(the church)

*Galatians 3:9 Abraham believed and was blessed; so all who believe are blessed as he was.*

*YOU ARE BLESSED.*

Through believing God and all His promises, Abraham was blessed by God, he didn't work for it but God imputed on him an everlasting blessing that pursued even those after him and around him, he believed that God had blessed him even before the blessings manifested.

One becomes blessed the moment he chooses to believe God, one's faith in Jesus Christ marks the beginning of a blessed life. Throughout scriptures, God refers to a man who has faith in Jesus Christ as blessed and not lucky. Many think they are just lucky to receive certain things in life failing to acknowledge the blessing of God upon their lives that evokes every good and perfect gifts from God. A blessing means that you have qualified for it through the effort of Jesus Christ on the cross therefore it's not accidental but intentional by God towards you. Being lucky means that it's not intentional you receiving certain things, you accidentally get them by chance.

The Christian life is not a gamble life where chance and luck operate but a blessed life where God intentionally extends His goodness towards those who trust in Him. Child of God whatsoever good things happen to you is because God has intentionally channelled them to you through His love and grace. You aren't just lucky but blessed by God by virtue of your faith in the blessed son of God.

You are blessed irrespective of whether you feel it or not, whether your family is well off or not, whether you job is well paying or not, whether those around you recognise it on you are not. You are blessed because God has blessed you in every way possible and so long as you believe it, nothing shall be impossible and His blessing upon you will manifest no matter your geographical location or season and because He has blessed you, all things work together for your good, favour is yours, lines are f

*Matthew 9:20-22 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of his garment: [21]For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. [22]But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.*

*CONNECTED BEYOND THE HEM.*

Faith is coming into contact with God, connecting with who God is and what His word says. You can't come in contact with God and remain the same way you were and neither can you connect to His word and your life doesn't transform from glory to glory.

The woman of the issue of blood had sought contact/connections with many things trying to get healed and for 12 years all was in vain but her issue was solved the moment she came in contact with the person of Christ the living word of God.

Many believe that all they need is a connection with the best doctor in the country/world for their issue to be fixed, the best advertising company for the success of their business, the best teacher for best grades etc but coming in contact with Christ fixes all things. Your connection with the word of God is what will bring you a testimony.

When you came in contact with Jesus Christ you became all that He is, He is healthy therefore you became healthy, He is an overcomer, therefore you too are, your entire life was sorted for good once you came into contact with Jesus Christ and this divine contact has transmitted divine health to your body, eternal life to your spirit, success in all you do, nourishment to your entire system, cleansed your blood and boosted your immunity for you haven't just held the hem of His garment but are one with Him, a member of His body, flesh and bone ephesians 5:30, you are in Him and He is in you.

All you need is to constantly be mindful of this divine connection you have with God.

*Luke 10:38-39*
[ *38]Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha* **received him into her house* .
*[39]And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard His word* .

*AT THE FEET OF JESUS.*

Residing in fellowship with God is the most and only needful thing for the Christian
This is the one and only place where God wants us . The goodness is God is most experienced by those who choose to sit at His feet and listen to the word.

Mary chose this part to sit at the feet and hear the word of life.
Luke 10:40
But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
Many a times we are caught up chasing dreams and desires ,working to earn the best in life etc forsaking the master's feet to be edified.Just like Martha. God is most interested in your residence in His presence of rest.
*Luke 10:41And Jesus* *answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, you* *are careful and troubled about many things* :
42 *But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her* .

At the feet of Jesus is where relationship is strengthened with God. It's where we get to understand the Heartbeat,will of the Father.
That's the only one thing needful because its everlasting. The will of God is for you to be at the feet and relate with the word. For the word is life to the finder

Purpose to be at the feet and learn for everything is in presence of God. The feet is the presence.

*Prayer*
Glorious God thank you for this word. Thank you for the privilege to sit at your feet and learn. Father God by your power ,desire and hunger for you is stired up in the inside of me for your presence daily. My zeal for your word is enhanced in the mighty name of Jesus Amen.
