Psalm 51:16 (NKJV) says:
“For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.”
So what is God really looking for?
A broken spirit → humility before God
A contrite heart → genuine sorrow for sin

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Substance:
faith gives reality to what you hope for it makes God’s promises real in your heart before you see them.

Evidence:
faith is inner conviction based on God’s truth, not physical proof.

Therefore
Faith is:
Trust in God’s character (He is faithful and cannot lie)

Belief in His promises (what He has spoken in Scripture)

Action based on that trust (obedience even when you don’t see results yet)
