*Zechariah 4:10 (KJV):* For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth
*DEFINE YOUR BEGINNING*
Our theme scripture has been used by some Christians to abuse the spirit of greatness in them.
For these Christians, when starting in ministry, business or other ventures in life, they begin from a place of mediocrity in the name of not despising small beginnings.
Some people’s beginnings are other people’s endings. It is up to you to decide what your beginning is.
One man may start his ministry with fifty members and call it small while another may do so with one thousand members and also call it a small beginning. Choose!
Ultimately, the question is, ‘What is small to God?’
Look at the narrative in Isaiah 60:22 and ponder on what God defines as small. The Bible says, “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.”
Define ‘small things’ from God’s perspective. You will always be set miles ahead of those around you because you began from the vantage point of greatness.
*FURTHER STUDY:* Isaiah 60:22; John 14:12
*GOLDEN NUGGET:* Define ‘small things’ from God’s perspective. You will always be set miles ahead of those around you because you began from the vantage point of greatness.
*PRAYER:* Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the privilege to see things as You do and from where You are. You gave me a blank cheque when You said I would do greater things. Today I choose to start from greatness to greatness, glory to glory, power to power and progress to progress, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
