Our God is full of mercy. He knows the weight of what you’re carrying. He knows the struggle, the sacrifice. He knows how you’re doing your best to keep it all together, while you’re dealing with a health issue, a child that’s breaking your heart, a loveless marriage, an addiction that’s controlling your life. He sees you praising through the pain, smiling when you feel discouraged, carrying the load of others when you need to be carried. Nothing is permanent. It’s never too late for God to turn it around. No one is going to doubt the blessing of God on your life. You’re not only going to see it, but other people are going to see it. That’s what it means to be unquestionably free.

But too often, we take our God-given extraordinary life, and we let someone else's definition of success determine that we're average. But God wants you to be extraordinary in your thinking. He wants you to expect more, to strive for more, to go for more, because when you're the very best you can be today, your tomorrow will be better.

Let God remove what is keeping you from the true you. Unforgiveness is keeping you from shining. Insecurity, compromise, anger are blocking the best you from coming out. Work with God. Be willing to change. We don’t have to be perfect, but we should be growing. We should be better than we were five years ago. We should be kinder, more respectful, have a better attitude. We should be more confident, more secure. We should forgive quicker, overlook offenses easier. We should compromise less, resist the temptation more often. That means letting the chisel chip away things that are hindering our growth.

It's easy to feel that we are ordinary and to wonder if we’re missing something. Are we really accomplishing what God purposed for our life? Are we living up to our calling as His child? If we were more committed spiritually, would we be facing the difficulty we’re in? If we were a little closer to God, would we be achieving more and be further ahead? We tend to look at our life from the outside, and we wonder if we’re doing enough or being enough. But that’s not how God sees us. He looks inside at what’s going on in our hearts.

You can limit what God wants to do in your life by speaking doubt, negativity, defeat. “My business is never going to grow. I’ll never meet the right person. I haven’t had a date in years. Have you seen what I’ve been through?” You are canceling out the prophecy. You may have obstacles that look too big; you don’t see how you can accomplish that dream. It feels like you’re stuck, you’ve reached your limits, you’re in captivity, restricted by your environment. God is saying to you, “I am doing a new thing. I’m making rivers in the desert. I’m turning the barrenness into fertile ground.” Now get in agreement with God. “Yes, Lord, this is for me. I receive it into my spirit. I’m getting ready for something new. Amaze me with Your goodness. Turn these negative situations around. God, show out in my life.”
