This program was started with the main purpose of taking care of orphaned children in Africa, starting with Uganda. We as a family are involved in preaching the Gospel and planting churches. We also believe in holistic ministry whereby we touch the lives of the poor orphaned children and social activities that help to uplift the poor and vulnerable. Below is our fundamental statement of faith.
1. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
2. WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
3. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
4. WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior).
5. WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
6. WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.
7. WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
8. WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
9. WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
10. WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church and to Meet human need with ministries of love and compassion.
11. WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).
12. WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.
13. WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
14. WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
15. WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
THE NEEDS
1.We as a church Body have opened several churches in the urban and rural areas. Many of our churches in the rural areas lack buildings. Some of the churches operate in makeshifts and in some cases under trees. During the dry seasons, it is quite well but problems arise during heavy rainy seasons. In such cases, church services never take place. We are seeking partners who could help us in construction of Churches in our rural areas. PERSON TO CONTACT: Opendi Bonny Onyango. OUR MISSION
Taking initiatives to restore hope to the orphaned and poor children of Northern and Eastern Uganda by preaching the Gospel of Salvation, rescue, raise and mentor the orphans. Our Gospel must be holistic. Jesus Christ left us with the mandate to take care of the orphans, widows and the poor. It is our major responsibility to fulfill the call of God in this generation. OUR VISION
We are committed to restoring hope in the children by placing parent less children in families where they will receive unconditional love, spiritual support, and discipleship and meet their physical needs. Children are tomorrow’s future and hope. The initiatives we are taking right now will determine who they will become. We want these children to grow up to be the generation that will influence this nation for a permanent and long lasting impact and transformation within Uganda and even beyond. If these children are well equipped with basic moral principles, life skills and values, they can indeed be a great force of the agents of transformation and development in Uganda and beyond. “The Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”(James 1:27)
The following are among some of the urgent needs:
1. Inadequate and insufficient scholastic materials like uniforms, exercise books, pens and uniforms.
2. Whereas the Universal Primary Education is free, pupils are required to pay some little money for examinations and provide for themselves school uniforms. As a result, many of the children end up dropping out of school altogether as they can not afford to pay the examination fees or have school uniforms.
3. Many of the children stay with either sympathizers or extended relatives who often abuse or mistreat them. There have been widespread cases of defilement, torture and child abuse on the rise.
4. Children who were once abducted by the rebels and have come back need real rehabilitation. This project will help to provide room for rehabilitation of such children.
5. Lack of safe water and Medicare. In the entire Sub County, there is only one health center which lacks adequate facilities and even essential drugs. Cases of death as a result of even incurable diseases like malaria remain a major challenge. programs to rehabilitate the war victims especially the children. The objectives of the Ministry are:
1. To carry out the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and Christian discipleship as well as build the love of God among the poor.
2. To support and take care of orphans in the sub county.
3. To sensitize the community on the prevalence of HIV/AIDS epidemic.
4. To provide basic scholastic materials to the orphans and other vulnerable children in the sub county or district.
5. To build a modern school with enough classrooms from Primary one to Primary seven.
6. To build a Children Home and a health facility for the orphans in the Sub County. PROJECT APPROACHES AND STRATEGIES. To achieve the objectives stated above, the activities and plan for the implementation will be determined by the provision of an ongoing financial grants and donations from partnering churches, charity organizations, Donors, NGOs, grant foundations, financial institutions, sponsors and interested individuals.
