Five years ago today we moved into our house in Colorado. My oldest daughter Kristi and family flew in to help with moving stuff into the house. My brother Reggie LeBlue followed us from Texas to help too. Hard to believe it’s been 5 years.

I have the privilege and honor to preach my friends funeral this afternoon at 2pm in Orange. Peggy Wagner. No close relation as far as we can trace back. We will be celebrating her life and her passing from death to life. And that she is now is in the presence of the Lord.
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. (II Corinthians 5:8 NKJV)
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. (John 5:24 NKJV)

A dear friend of ours died last night. She always called me he PREACHER. Her name is Peggy Wagner. No relation to us as far as we can look back at the family trees. Tavia used to deliver Avon to her and that's how we met. She was elderly and always said she wanted me to do her funeral. So I will be meeting with the family this evening to set everything up. The best thing is I know she knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior. So I know we will reunite one day. We love you Peggy and look forward to that reunion.

Today I gave my parents a Christmas present that was personal to me. I wrote them a letter and framed it for them. It was from my heart to theirs. I'm sharing it with you.

Mom and Dad,
I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and honor you both. I know I will live a long life because in the Word of God it says in Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.” The other day dad said he was proud of me. I asked him “Why?” He answered back, “Because all you do and who you’ve become”. I answered him back, “Just look back into the mirror because I am who I am because of you”. I am who I am because of the two of you. I am who I am because you lead by example. I am who I am because you practiced what you preached. I am who I am because you kept me in church at an early age. I am who I am because you taught me about Jesus. I am who I am because you loved me unconditionally. I am who I am because you showed me what parents are to be like. I am who I am because you showed me how a Christian lives his life. I am who I am because you taught me integrity. I see Jesus in both of you. You see, Jesus didn't just come to earth to sacrifice Himself and die for our sins. Jesus came to show us the way. To be the ultimate example of how God wants us to live our lives. The son, Jesus, is a reflection of His Father. As we read in John 5:19 , “Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does” Well, your son is a reflection of his parents. So when you brag about me you are bragging about yourselves. As a Christmas present the greatest gift I have is my mom and dad. You are my gift this Christmas.

Well, it’s time to get on my running shoes and get in better shape. We will be headed back to Niger, Africa at the end of January. Why do I need to get on my running shoes you ask to go on a mission trip? Well you see, our American missionary, Rich Jorgensen, runs most mornings early in the morning. And he is tall and runs a long way. The last part of the run we run up THE HILL several times. And it will test anybody. We run in the mornings because during the day it does get pretty hot. Yes even in January and February.
This reminds me of two set of scriptures. 1 Corinthians 9:24” Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.” and Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
We are all running a race God has called us to do. I feel blessed that God has allowed me to go to the mission field. And Niger, Africa has been one of those places that has become home to me. Also going on this trip will be David Hinson, Anthony Fields and Curtis Ponzio.
Our schedule will include teaching in the Via Abondante Bible school, preaching in local churches, hosting a pastors conference, and conducting village outreaches. We will also see the progress of the growing Via Abondante Primary School. Because of the support of many friends like you, each year we are able to bring supplies and support to many pastors and their families. Please join with us in prayer as we start making plans and preparing for this mission trip.
I will be preparing to preach and teach on FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE. 1 Corinthians 13:13 “ And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I will be ministering on each subject separately and together. It is going to be a powerful time.

Last night I heard the best teachings on the spirit, soul and body. If we are born again then our spirits are already saved. But our souls are continuing to be changed through the Word of God. It is too much to get into here but I will be teaching it myself. Saving of the soul. Our mind, will and emotions. If you have a church home then my all means go this morning and if you don’t I’d be there at 10am this morning. If you do then go to your church but do your best to make it tonight. You will not be disappointed.
