WEST DIVISION URGED TO REMAIN HOPEFUL
After visiting schools, Corps, and retired Officers in the West Division, the Territorial leaders Colonels John Murray & Brenda Murray urged the Officers and soldiers to remain hopeful and work together with them as a team. This way, spiritual and infrastructural growth would continue to be achieved in the Division.

The leaders shared soccer balls with the students & planted trees in memory of their first visit to the West Division.

As The Salvation Army expresses gratitude to ASA Micro Finance Uganda's support towards the ongoing construction of The Salvation Army Khabikenga [2in1] Church hall & Officers quarter's, we as well congratulate ASA's outgoing CEO SEMBOZE Allen upon his new appointment as CEO Opportunity Bank.

UGANDANS TO ATTEND INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CONGRESS - INDONESIA
In just under a year from now, young members of The Salvation Army from across the globe including Uganda will gather in Jakarta, Indonesia for The Salvation Army’s International Youth Congress (IYC) 2027.

The countdown officially began on Thursday 16 July 2026 during family prayers at the Ministries International Headquarters (IHQ) in London, where staff and guests gathered 12 months ahead of the congress to be held from 15 to 20 July 2027.

Centred on the theme ‘Empowering a Generation’, the congress will bring together approximately 2,500 young adults aged 18 to 25 from The Salvation Army around the world (The Salvation Army now operates in more than 130 countries). Delegates will focus on deepening their relationship with God, discerning God’s calling on their lives and returning home equipped to serve as Christ-centred leaders in their churches (corps), communities and nations.

During their visit to Southern Division, the Uganda Territorial leaders Colonels John Murray & Brenda Murray pledged to work with the officers in uplifting the Division. The leaders challenged the Officers to aswel do their part in the ministry.

The leaders visited the Division Headquarters at Masafu/Busia, some Corps where they inspected WASH initiatives, and a School. The children were so delighted to learn a new song and dance with the leaders...

WALK IN CONFIDENCE
Soldiers of The Salvation Army Kisugu Church in Central Division were encouraged to walk in confidence because God is faithful.

In a message extracted from Psalm 121:1-8 the Territorial Commander Colonel John Murray, in company of the TPWM Colonel Brenda Murray challenged the congregation that before God changes our situation, he changes our awareness.

He asked the congregation to stand in grace because God is sufficient, and that Grace is not weakness, it is sustaining power since Grace carries us through where strength can not.

INSTALLATION OF TERRITORIAL LEADERS
Colonels John Murray & Brenda Murray were installed as Territorial Commander & Territorial President for Women's Ministries on Sunday 12th July, 2026 at the Kampala Church hall.

The ceremony was presided over by Commissioners Daniel & Tracey Kasuso, Territorial leaders of Zimbabwe, Botswana & Madagascar Territory.

In the service attended by government representatives, Inter Religious Council representative, former Territorial & Region leaders among others, the new leaders advocated for love, unity, peace, identification and proper use of individual gifts for the growth of God's kingdom.

The new leaders pledged to be the greatest advocates for the interests of Uganda Territory during their tenure of service.
