EASTER MARCH OF WITNESS
The Salvation Army joined the Catholic, Anglican & Orthodox churches in Uganda in the Ecumenical Way of the Cross Walk on Good Friday.

This event organized by the Uganda Joint Christian Council takes place annually with the participating church's/denominations leaders carrying a Cross all the way from their premises to a designated point of convergence.

The Salvation Army flag was raised high as the band led a procession into Old Kampala Secondary School grounds where the joint service was held.

FAREWELL TO TC & TPWM UGANDA
The outgoing Territorial Commander & Territorial President for Women's Ministries of Uganda Territory [Colonels Chatonda & Joyce Theu] were farewelled at a Territorial ingathering organized in their honor on Sunday 29th March 2026 in Kampala - Uganda.

The leaders who are taking up their new appointment in the same capacity in Malawi Territory have served in Uganda for over seven years as Chief Secretary & TSWM and later as TC & TPWM.

They are being succeeded by Lieutenant Colonels John [TC] and Brenda Murray [TPWM] of Canada & Bermuda Territory - effective 1st May 2026 with a new rank of Colonels.

YOUTH INTERACTIVE RALLY 2026 – A GENERATION ON FIRE!

The Youth Interactive Meeting was a vibrant and impactful gathering during the pastoral visit of the International Leaders of The Salvation Army.

Led by Capt. Patrick Wanyonyi, the session brought together passionate young people from across the Uganda Territory for a time of worship, engagement, and spiritual empowerment. Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham delivered a powerful Bible message, while General Lyndon Buckingham inspired the youth to boldly live out their calling.

GENERAL VISITS OTC UGANDA

On Friday 20th February 2026, General Lyndon Buckingham and Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham held a powerful spiritual meeting with the Cadets at the The Salvation Army Officers’ Training College (OTC). The lesders encouraded them to remain faithful, committed, and passionate about God’s mission.

The International Leaders of The Salvation Army International also witnessed the flag raising ceremony at William Booth Nursery School, where they shared a light and joyful moment interacting with the kindergarten pupils. This was a beautiful expression of hope and the future of the Army.

Indeed, it was a day of inspiration, connection, and blessing for the Uganda Territory.

FINALLY THE GENERAL IS HERE
With hearts overflowing with gratitude and celebration, The Salvation Army Uganda Territory proudly and prayerfully welcomes General Lyndon Buckingham and Commissioner Bronwyn Buckingham, International Leaders of The Salvation Army The Salvation Army International, for their pastoral visit to Uganda from 18–23 February 2026.

Upon arrival, the International Leaders were graciously received through the VIP Lounge by Territorial leaders. They immediately held a media briefing, sharing words of encouragement, vision, and hope. Thereafter, they proceeded to meet the joyous Salvationists who had gathered in eager anticipation, filling the atmosphere with praise, song, and heartfelt welcome.

Under the inspiring theme, “Renewed in Hope, Soaring in Strength” (Isaiah 40:31), this visit is a sacred and historic moment for the Territory a season divinely appointed for spiritual renewal, strengthened unity, and bold recommitment to God’s mission in Uganda.

As Uganda Territory stands united in prayer, we trust that this visit will deepen our faith, renew our hope, and empower us to soar in strength as we proclaim and demonstrate the love of Christ in every community.
