"FATHER KNOWS BEST"

Daily humble yourselves before God. Understand that God will not force you to crucify your flesh. You must start the process on your own. You must empty yourself of your self. If you'll do that, God will step in and provide the grace and power for you to walk in biblical humility. 1 Peter 5:5 says, "Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility." To end all conflict you must put off self and put on humility (Col. 3:12). You must replace self with Christ. You've got to replace the bad with something good. If you don't, the bad will return and will be more destructive than it was before. The self-indulgent nature of the flesh reveals itself in conflict, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, and selfish ambition causing division among people and the feeling that everyone is wrong except you. Phil. 2:3 says, "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit." These two things always bring conflict. Selfish ambition says, "It's all about me" and vain conceit says, "I'm always right." Is it any wonder that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble?

"FATHER KNOWS BEST"

James is writing to a group of believers who say they possess faith when in reality their faith does not possess them. He is saying that real faith never stands alone and, when God comes into your life, you're going to think and act differently than you did before. More than once James has dealt with issues of separation and division among the people. The fleshly nature of being self-centered causes offense, conflict, strife, and separation. The key to success of any organization is unity among its members. This is especially true with the local church. Eph. 4:2,3 (NLT) says, "Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace." Unity and humility go together. Humility is the opposite of self and is the key that unlocks true happiness. One of the greatest causes of unhappiness is conflict with other people. Pride causes conflict but humility takes it away.

"EARS TO HEAR"

Walking with God and knowing Him is what the Christian life is all about. Drawing near to God is progressive, it's something you should be constantly doing every day of your life. For sure, it's the most important thing you could ever do. Hosea 6:3 leaves no room for error when it says, "Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord." The word "pursue" means to 'follow on, run after, attend to.' The Message Bible says, "We're ready to study God, eager for God-knowledge." Put yourself in the continual position of following God and getting to know Him better and better each and every day. Jesus is the good shepherd and He said in John 10:4, "And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice." Walking with God is about hearing the voice of God. As you walk with Him, He'll speak to you and give you direction for your life. He'll reveal to you your destiny and the wisdom you'll need to fulfill it. Prov. 19:21 says, "There are many plans in a man's heart, nevertheless the Lord's counsel - that will stand."

"NEVER LET GO"

Those who struggle with faith do so because they're not sure what the will of God is. This is not the case with you. 1 John 2:20 says, "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things." God is saying He will cause you to know everything you need to know. The answer to all your questions is inside of you and this means you have access to unlimited knowledge and understanding. This knowledge comes from the Holy One who lives inside of you. People who are not saved do not have this knowledge and is the reason they have no direction for their lives. The more you grow up spiritually, the more you are able to tap into this knowledge and the easier it will be to fulfill your destiny. Remember, faith is built on the foundation of knowing God's will. You must be sure of what His will is before faith will work. People who pray "if it be Thy will" are willfully ignorant of what the will of God is. They don't read their Bible and neither do they tap into the anointing of the Holy One inside of them.

"NEVER LET GO"

Stay in faith at all times. You do this by being sure of what you're believing in. Uncertainty is what causes doubt to come in, it's what causes you to be double-minded. Those that waver in their faith will not receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6,7). This is why you need to seek God and study the Bible continually. This is what causes you to know His will and to be sure of His plan for your life. Confidence removes all doubt and defeats the devil every time. People who say "you never know what God is going to do" haven't read their Bible. Amos 3:7 says, "Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His plans to His servants the prophets." God will tell you what He's going to do and believing that eliminates all wavering. You trust in Him and this confidence is what causes faith to work. It causes you to receive whatever it is you're believing for. Why is that? Because you're confident God will give it to you. He said it, that settles it. Never let go of that. God does not lie and He cannot fail. 1 Peter 1:25 says, "The word of the Lord endures forever."

"NEVER LET GO"

Faith is when you believe that God is who He says He is and have the confidence that He will do what He says He will do. Without confidence there is no faith. This is why Heb. 10:35 says, "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward." There are many benefits for those who trust God. Heb. 11:6 says, "He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." The Message Bible says, "He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him." God has a plan for your life that far exceeds anything you could ever imagine. The only way for this plan to become a reality in your life is for you to keep a firm grip on your confidence in the reliability of God. That's what faith is and that is what faith is all about. To live by faith you must hold on to this confidence and never let go. Heb. 3:14 (MSG) says, "If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we're in this with Christ for the long haul." Faith is the confidence of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. You also need to be steadfast in what you believe in. You can't believe one day and doubt the next.

"NEVER LET GO"

There is no Word of God that is void of power or incapable of being fulfilled. Is. 55:11 (GWT) says, "My word, which comes from My mouth, is like rain and snow. It will not come back to Me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do." The Message Bible says, "They'll complete the assignment I gave them." Imagine having this much power at your fingertips. You have this power and it's called faith. Even Jesus said in Mark 9:23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Have you considered that maybe one day God would use you to raise somebody from the dead? It's possible. Jesus said it was in John 14:12 (NLT), "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in Me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father." Smith Wigglesworth was used by God to raise fourteen people from the dead. It's not unheard of that He wants to use people today to do the same thing. Could you be one of these people?

"NEVER LET GO"

The words you speak are powerful so watch what you say. People bring havoc into their lives because they don't realize they'll receive whatever they hear themselves say. If they say they'll never get a good job, they'll never get a good job. If they say they're always sick, they'll always be sick. People believe and receive the words that come out of their mouth so be careful what you say. If need be, pray the words of David in Ps. 141:3, "Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips." If you can't say something good, don't say anything at all. When you do speak, make sure it lines up with the Word of God. The truth is, you can have faith for bad things just as much as you can have faith for good things. Fear is when people say and believe the words of the devil, faith is when people confess and believe the words of God. People are always going to believe in something. Why not believe the things God said? It's the Word that brings life to your inner man. It's what causes light to shine in a dark place.

"NEVER LET GO"

Heb. 4:12 (NLT) says, "For the Word of God is alive and powerful." There is an anointing that comes with every word of the Bible you hear yourself speak. Faith doesn't come just because of sound waves bouncing off your eardrums. The power of God is involved which causes anointed speaking to turn into anointed hearing. This power goes into your inner man and causes you to be fully convinced that what you heard yourself say is true. You believe that the Word you spoke is true and this is called faith. You spoke the Word, you heard the Word, you believed the Word. This is how faith comes and remains. So powerful is this that the faith you receive is a measure of God's own faith. It's the same faith He used to create the heavens and the earth. The power that said "Light be" is now inside of you. You've been created in His likeness and image and you're to function the same way He does. The words you speak are designed to bring change to the world around you. God turned darkness into light, you can do the same thing.

"NEVER LET GO"

Notice that the Bible doesn't say faith comes by reading the Word of God. As important as reading and meditating on the Word of God is, it's only when you hear what you're reading that faith will come. Those who want to have faith need to look no further than their own two ears. Faith only comes by hearing yourself speak out loud that portion of scripture that you're believing for. Faith doesn't come by hearing the pastor at church speaking the Word or the preacher on the radio. Faith only comes when you hear your own voice saying out loud what the Bible says. There's a reason for this. You're going to believe yourself more than anybody else. A deeper conviction comes when you hear yourself say something than when you hear somebody else say it. You just automatically believe your own words more than the words of others. You'll believe yourself more when you say "By Jesus' stripes I'm healed" than if you hear your pastor say it. Your own words go straight to your heart where there will be a strong conviction that what you're hearing yourself say is true.
