What exactly will we gain from this painful and unnecessary fighting? Why are we fueling conflict online, celebrating hostility, and praising war instead of peace?
I would not have spoken about this issue, but it keeps appearing on my feed, and honestly, it is heartbreaking to see. Our words online can either calm tensions or pour more fuel on an already dangerous situation. We must understand that what we post, praise, or encourage can have real consequences on the ground.

And to our women, who have traditionally been pillars of families and advocates for peace: why should anyone celebrate a war that takes away the lives and futures of our children? Women have a powerful role to play in calming tensions, protecting families, and calling for reconciliation.
Let us remember one simple truth: when a human being dies, they do not come back. No apology, social-media argument, or victory can bring a dead person back to life.
These are our children. They have dreams, families, and futures ahead of them. Their lives should not be sacrificed because adults and communities choose to glorify conflict.
Twic and Hol of Duk are communities with people who deserve to live, work, study, trade, and raise their children in peace. We may have disagreements, but disagreement does not have to become violence.
Let us stop glorifying war. Let us stop provoking one another online. Let our elders speak wisdom, let our youth choose responsibility, and let our women continue to be voices for peace.
We have buried enough people. We have suffered enough.
