Ask God to free you of all the spears you are still holding on to. Because if you throw a spear back at those who hurt you, you adopt that very spirit that wounded you in the first place.

WHEN PRIDE KEEPS YOU FROM REPENTANCE

Genesis 4:7

“If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Pride can cause us to receive God’s help as an offence. When God corrected Cain, He warned him that sin was crouching at his door and that he needed to overcome it. Instead of accepting God’s correction, Cain became offended and eventually killed his brother.

Like Cain, we must learn to humbly receive God’s correction.

The sin we are too proud to repent of can eventually destroy our families, businesses, marriages, relationships and even the church. Pride works hard to maintain a good outward appearance while, inwardly, we are slowly dying.

Repentance is not a sign of weakness; it is the humility to acknowledge our wrong, receive God’s correction and choose His way.

As you begin this week, don't neglect those who have offended you.

Instead, see every offense as an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ.
Forgiveness doesn't ignore the pain—it chooses grace over bitterness.

May God help us become people who love beyond offense.
Be blessed. ❤️

How do we overcome offense?

• Do your best.
• Look inward and examine your heart.
• Allow God to correct and refine you.
• Rule over offense by staying humble.
• Choose love every single time.

Offense may come, but it doesn't have to stay.

Let's walk into this week with humility, forgiveness, and love.

One of the hardest things to admit is that we're offended.

Healing begins the moment we're honest with ourselves and allow God to search our hearts.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." — Proverbs 4:23

Don't let offense define your story. Let God refine your heart instead.

❤️ Have a blessed week!

It is possible to show up, serve, praise, worship, and even go on missions while still carrying the bait of offense.

Jesus reminds us:
"It is impossible that no offenses should come..." — Luke 17:1

Offense is more than a feeling—it's a trap that, if left unchecked, can hinder our walk with God.

As we step into a new week, may we guard our hearts and choose freedom over offense.
