Pastor’s Daily bread
Saints, Using what you have to get what don’t have 2
God starts with what we have. Often, we focus on what we lack, but God asks us to look at what we already possess. The widow only had a small jar of oil, but it was enough for God to perform a miracle.
What do you have in your hands right now? Your talents, time, resources, or even relationships? What you have may seem small, but in God’s hands, it can bring about the miracle you need.
Stop saying "I have nothing." There is always something, no matter how small, that God can use.
Faith in Action: Use What You Have
After the widow told Elisha about the oil, Elisha instructed her to borrow as many jars as she could from her neighbors and start pouring the oil into the empty jars. As long as she kept pouring, the oil kept flowing. The miracle didn’t happen until she acted in faith.
Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). God expects us to take steps of faith, using what we already have, to see His provision manifest.
Nice day Friends.

Pastor’s Daily bread
Saints, Using What You Have to Get What You Don’t Have,
2 Kings 4:1-7 – The story of the widow
Life often presents us with situations where we feel inadequate, lacking, or without enough resources to move forward. We may look at what we have and think it's insufficient. However, throughout Scripture, God shows that what we have in our hands, no matter how small, can become the very tool for our breakthrough. God specializes in multiplying what we already possess when we offer it to Him in faith. God can use what we have to bring about what we don’t yet possess.
1. Recognize What You Have: The Widow’s Oil
The story of the widow in 2 Kings 4 is a powerful reminder of God’s ability to multiply what seems insignificant. The widow was in a desperate situation—her husband had died, and her creditors were coming to take her sons as slaves because of unpaid debts. When she turned to the prophet Elisha, his response was simple: "Tell me, what do you have in your house?" She replied, "Your servant has nothing there at all, except a small jar of olive oil." What is in your house?
Nice Day friends.

Pastor’s Daily Bread
Saints, why bad things happen to good people, Bad Things Can Lead Us Closer to God
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted." Pain often drives us to seek God more earnestly. In suffering, we experience God’s presence and comfort in ways we might not during peaceful times. Hardship often draws us nearer to God, deepening our relationship with Him.
Jesus Suffered, Too Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Jesus understands our pain because He also suffered. The cross is the ultimate example of God bringing hope and victory out of suffering. When we suffer, we share in the experience of Christ, knowing that even in suffering, God’s plan is at work.
Bad things happen to good people not because God is unkind or unjust, but because we live in a broken world. God uses suffering to strengthen us, grow our faith, prepare us to help others, and draw us closer to Him. While we may not always understand His ways, we can trust that He is working all things together for good.
Nice Day friends.

Saints, Why Bad Things Happen to Good People 4
Isaiah 55:8-9 – "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the Lord. Job 1:8-12 – The suffering of Job, a righteous man who remained faithful despite immense hardship.
One of the most troubling questions believers face is: Why do bad things happen to good people? If God is good and loving, why does He allow suffering? While the full answer may only be clear in eternity, Scripture provides insights into how suffering serves God’s purposes.
1. We Live in a Fallen World
• Romans 5:12 explains that sin entered the world through Adam and with it came suffering, death, and brokenness. Natural disasters, illnesses, and hardships are part of living in a world affected by sin. Even the righteous are not exempt from these difficulties. Being good or righteous does not shield us from the realities of a fallen world, but God is with us in our suffering.
Nice Day friends.
