We officially launched the Nange Healing and Harm Reduction Center last week,a community healing space under Talented Youth Community Fellowship Uganda (TAYCOF) dedicated to supporting Trans and Gender diverse people who use drugs and survivors of all kinds of abuse through care, healing, connection, and community support.

The center will offer psychosocial support, peer support spaces, harm reduction services, wellness activities, referrals, community dialogues, and safe spaces for healing and rebuilding lives with dignity.

We are grateful to all the Trans-led organizations, human rights organizations, HRDs ,activists, and community members who joined us for this meaningful launch. This initiative is fully community-supported through sales of the book Faith That Liberates written by ( https://a.co/d/ddoyeGp)together with donations and contributions from friends ,allies, and supporters who believe in our work . Together, we can create hope, healing, and lasting change. .clizba .amos @

Today we celebrate your strength, resilience, and the courage it takes to show up as your authentic self in spaces that haven’t always been safe or inclusive. Your work matters. Your presence matters. And your contributions continue to shape a more just and equal world. Happy Labor Day 2026

Today, on International Transgender Day of Visibility, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of trans and gender diverse individuals.

At the same time, we recognize the realities many in our community in Uganda continue to face stigma, violence, limited access to opportunities, and unsafe environments.

Visibility alone is not enough. There is an urgent need for meaningful change to ensure safety, dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all.

We remain committed to creating safe spaces, amplifying voices, and empowering trans and gender diverse people to thrive.

As part of our project, “Bridging Faith and Health to Strengthen Inclusive Health Access for Rural Transgender and Gender-Diverse People,” we convened an Integrated Orientation and Capacity-Building Meeting on HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

The meeting brought together community peer educators, health workers, and Faith leaders from different denominations to share knowledge, build understanding, and strengthen collaboration.

This engagement created a safe and respectful space for dialogue on how Faith and health systems can work together to improve access to essential health services for transgender and gender-diverse people in rural communities.

📌 Key highlights from the meeting:
• Improved understanding of HIV, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria prevention, treatment, and care
• Open discussions on barriers faced by transgender and gender-diverse individuals in accessing healthcare
• Strengthened commitment from faith leaders to promote inclusion, compassion, and accurate health information
• Enhanced collaboration between health workers and community peer educators
• Recognition of the important role of faith institutions in reducing stigma and supporting access to care

Together, we continue to build bridges that promote dignity, inclusion, and better health for all.

This project is made possible through the generous support of Trans Youth Initiative-Uganda and Gender Equality Fund (GEF)
