We stocked medicine. By having our nurse and maintaining dispensary, investing in home clinic has helped us to improve the overall health of the children at the orphanage by 85%. This has also helped us save money, significantly reducing our medication costs.
Previously, we spent between $200 and $300 a month on hospital bills. This led to accumulating debts. I remember one time we spent almost $250 in a single week for a single child due to a delay in treatment to treat typhoid outbreak. That same month, we needed $500 to treat the rest of the children.
Those times were incredibly stressful until I came up with the idea of having our own dispensary. Michael provided us with the first medicine box. Since then, every child has been treated at home, preventing illnesses from worsening while improving general health and wellbeing.
Imagine what generosity can achieve. This is how we are able to change children’s lives. Every child that comes here receives support, love, protection, healthcare, shelter, and education. Every dollar is invested in their well-being. This is what sets us apart. I am here to serve and make a difference in the lives of these children, not for personal gain.
