Dear friends, am inviting the seed/children bone of bone again parent together with their parents to join hands with me through payers, patterning and representing us in their churches, funding/resource mobilization, capacity building among others to enable us fulfill our mission and vision.
THE VISION:
To bring back God’s major purpose of children "born of born again parents".
Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down, not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed neither shall any of the codes thereof be broken (Isaiah 33:20 KJV).
THE MISSION:
To awake the born again families and their siblings / seedlings about God's purpose of being born in that family (Psalms 112:1-3)
OBJECTIVES:
a) Positioning the born again families so as to experience and witness God's
promises unto them. (Psalms112:2-3)
b) To nurture and nourish generations which are able to live a righteous and holy life in this perverse world. (Daniel 6:11, 3:14-18)
c) To equip the parents and children with skills and knowledge of sustaining themselves through provision of vocational and developmental concepts.
As a way of fulfilling and accomplishing our mission, aim and purpose of existence, SPIRECSI carries out an integration of activities in individual community, Church Development and Empowerment Initiatives in Born again people and their children through:-
1. PROVIDING AND ENGAGING CHILDREN IN YOUTH PROGRAM ALONGSIDE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT.
The Church that works independently without home, runs the risk of giving both parents and children the impression that a home is not relevant for spiritual training.
Hence leaving only professionals at the church to do the work of discipleship. Therefore, inviting parents to participate with their kids and have assignment that complement what’s happening at church which can empower parents to do discipleship work at home.
2. OFFERING PARENTAL TRAINING PROGRAMS
Parents need help of raising their children today. The world offers plenty of behavior, modification strategies but as Christians, we know that people are different from animals. They have a heart. So training parents with biblical tools and strategies that reach the hearts of their children is an essential part of the discipleship mandate for any church. God give guidance in his word about how people change and when those kinds of ideas are applied in the family. Parents find hope and encouragement as they embrace God's grace in their homes.
3. HELPING PARENTS TO BE DISCIPLE MAKERS AT HOME
Sometimes parents delegate the spiritual training of their children to the church or the Christian founded schools. Although they are great partners, they are not a substitute for what God designed for the family. But parents often don't know how to pass the faith on their kids. Following the model of Jesus using creativity and life experience is the most effective way to help kids grasp biblical truth.
Parents need inspiration and coaching to enable that process.
All of these components can add to family ministry in a church, the leadership needs to determine which areas to focus on, at any given time. The question is not that, Is not the Church responsible for discipling? The question has to do with family ministry and its emphasis at any given time in church life.
The bible tells us that in the beginning God created the family. In his infinite wisdom, when he created man kind in his own image, he chose the family to serve the cradle for person-hood. In Deut 6:6-9 as well as other biblical passages, it is clear that God designed the family as the crucible in which the reality of the person of the living God is to be both taught (through formal education) and caught (by the example of the parent's lives).
The quality of family life influences every other part of our lives. Surveys have found that people's greatest source of happiness in life is the family. These surveys have also found that the greatest source of frustration and disappointments in people's lives is dealing with family problems. The quality of family life also has a power to impact on the believability of the gospel message.
"The greatest forces in evangelism are a healthy church and a healthy marriage. The two are interdependent. You cannot have one without the other. It is the healthy marriage, however, which is the front line's weapon".
The Christian family in a community is the ultimate evangelistic tool, assuming the home circle is an open one in which the beauty of the gospel is readily available. As apostle Paul stated in 2cor. 3:2-3.
