Where do you stand with the Lord today? Do you know Him personally? Did you know that you can know Him personally?

God wants us to turn to Him for everything that we need or desire in life, but first we must take the step to become what the Bible says a “Born Again” Christian. To do that we must realize that we are separated from God because we have sinned against Him. He is a holy and righteous God.

Everyone in the whole world has sinned against God and that sinful nature in us keeps us from being able to fellowship with God. The only way to have a relationship with God is to be born over again and receive a new nature that God Himself provides .

How does He do that? By sending His Son Jesus to pay the price for our sin with His very own life. Jesus’ sacrifice took away our sin permanently and allowed us entrance into heaven and to have fellowship with God the Father right now while we live here on this earth. He does that through His Holy Spirit the third person of God.

God’s Word says that the wages of sin is death, or the punishment for sinning against a Holy God is death. But God did not want His very own creation to be destroyed because of that sin so He provided a way out. That way of escape was for God Himself to become a man, Jesus Christ. Jesus then could take our place of punishment and let us go free! But it is not enough to admit that we have sinned against a Holy God to be born again. God says we must look to Jesus to save us from our sins.

Yes, we must first recognize and admit that indeed we have sinned against a Holy God but secondly, the Bible says we must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as our own personal Lord and Savior to be rescued from our sin. What does that mean? The Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loved you so much that He gave His only begotten Son for you. You are the reason God sent Jesus to the cross.

But in order to become born again it is not enough to just admit you have sinned against God or just believe that Jesus died for your sins but you must receive or accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. This is a choice. When you receive Jesus as your Lord you are giving Him permission to take charge or to take over your life.

If you do choose to make Jesus your Lord, you will become born again. You will become a part of God’s family. God will receive you as His very own child. He will be your Father and you will be His child. You will go to heaven one day when you leave this earth but you will be able to commune with God right now. This is not just a thought to ponder in your head, accepting Jesus is a decision of the heart.

Jesus came to this earth as a baby, and when He grew up He went to the cross, died there, was raised from the dead, and lives today seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty in heaven. He died on that cross for you! He took sin on Himself for you! When you accept Jesus’ death sacrifice and believe that He saved you from your sins you become what the Bible says is born again or a new creature in Christ, a new creation; old things pass away and all things become new.( 2 Corinthians 5:17)

As far as God is concerned, at that moment, you stand before Him as a brand-new person. You are reborn from sin and death into a new life in God.

Thirdly, the Bible says that we are to confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Lord. The Bible gives some specific instructions that you are to follow in order to be a new creature in Christ.

Look at Romans 10:8-11: …“The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”

So once we have prayed the salvation prayer we are to confess with our mouths out loud that Jesus is our Lord. We are to admit that we believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and that Jesus is now our Lord and Savior. With that outward confession our salvation becomes reality. It pushes the start button of our new life in Christ Jesus!

PRAY THIS PRAYER TO BE BORN AGAIN. START YOUR NEW LIFE IN JESUS TODAY!

Heavenly Father, I come to you admitting that I have sinned against you a most Holy and Righteous God. Please forgive me of all my sins. I accept the fact that Jesus took my place on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins. I ask you now to come into my heart, make me a new creature in Christ. I give you permission to take over my life, lead me, direct me, guide me. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to overflowing. Amen! I now confess that you Jesus are my Lord and Savior. I am a new creature in Christ I am saved! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!

WHAT DO I DO NOW?
1. It is important to tell someone that you are a brand new Christian.
2. Start reading your Bible every day. God’s Word will help you grow in your new found life in Christ and will strengthen and direct you in your daily affairs. We always encourage new Christians to start by reading the smaller book of John which is found in the New Testament of the Bible. Look at the table of contents of your Bible and find the book of John. It tells about Jesus.
3. We also encourage new believers to read one chapter of Proverbs in the Old Testament of the Bible. This gives you God’s divine wisdom as to how to conduct your daily affairs of this life.
4. Next read some of God’s promises. Go to our promise page for some of them to read.
5 .Also, sit before the Lord quietly every day and let Him talk back to you. Go to our ” Hear from God” page to help you further with that.
6. Find a Bible Believing church. This is very important! The Bible says to fellowship with other believers . If you live within driving distance of our church come visit us. We definitely believe in God’s word and stand firmly on His promises! We are located right on Main St. in Mount Joy, PA. Go to our contact page to find the map as to how to get there.

God bless you in your new found life in Christ.

Let us now pray this prayer over you

Lord Jesus,
Bless this brand new Christian. Come into their life, lead them into a deeper walk with you. Establish them in the faith. Protect them and surround them with other strong Christians to encourage them and disciple them. In Jesus Name, Amen.

In our generation the words revival and awakening are often used interchangeably, but there is a great distinction. An awakening takes place when God sovereignly pours out his Spirit and it impacts a region and changes a culture. A revival, on the other hand, It’s when the church comes back to life, when the church becomes what it was always meant to be. It’s a return to passion. I think many times we overly mystify the idea of revival, but we don’t really need to. Another word I could use for revival is restoration – restoring something to its original condition.

Day 4
Warm Up

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and
is to come.”
— REVELATION 4:8
Work Out

God is unchanging in His holiness. God is a holy God,
a righteous God.
God is unchanging in His judgment. A day is coming
in which all of us will stand before the judgment of
Almighty God to give an account of our lives; we will give an account of what we did with His Son, Jesus Christ, and of our response to Him when He said, “I love you,I want to forgive you, I want to change you, I want to be your friend.” What will we answer? What will we do with Christ? The Bible says, “The Lord will judge the ends of the earth” (1 Samuel 2:10).
God is also unchanging in His love: “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). God loves us! God is interested in us. He has the hairs of our heads numbered. He knows all about us, and He loves us!
God loves us with a love that we do not understand. When we come to Christ and give our hearts and lives to Him, He will give agape love—His love—to us so that we can love people whom we usually don’t even like. He will give us a supernatural power to love.
Cool Down!
Dear God, I am grateful for Your unchanging holiness,
righteousness, and love. Thank You for loving me. Give me Your love for the people that You bring into my life.Amen.

30 Day Spiritual Boot Camp
Day 3

Warm Up
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”

Work Out
I have a colleague who recently built a deck on the front of his house. He diligently figured his budget, planned his design, ordered the lumber, and excitedly waited for the day when the truck would pull up with the materials.

He enlisted the help of friends and family to dig the post holes, mix the concrete, and build the frame.
Everything went according to plan, until all of his friends had gone and he was left alone to secure the deck planks. Only then did he look more closely at the lumber, and realize that all of the wood was wet, twisted, and warped. Boards 16 feet long would bend several inches in the middle. His deck was going to be a chaotic and unstable mess.

A funny thing happened, though, as he began to screw the boards into place. He realized that there was a lot of flexibility over the course of 16 feet, and he could push the pieces into place and then screw them in tight. Even if the board naturally wanted to bow outward, he could force it inward and secure it. And once it was secure, it would naturally conform to the rest of the deck.

You and I are very much like those boards.
First, when we aren’t anchored, we’re twisting and
turning with no clear direction. We’re like the crowd in
Matthew 9:36: “But when [Jesus] saw the multitudes,
He was moved with compassion for them, because
they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no
shepherd.” We’re hopeless and helpless, apt to follow
whatever path feels right at the moment. It can leave us literally and figuratively broken.

Second, we need to be aware of where our hearts are
anchored, and how that affects us spiritually. Romans 12:2says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

If we claim to be followers of Jesus but are anchored to the things of this world, we will ultimately conform to “the sin which so easily ensnares us” (Hebrews 12:1). But if we are anchored in the Word of God, secured by His presence in prayer, we will be transformed and renewed—conformed into His image.
Today, examine your own life and priorities, and make sure that your heart is anchored in the One who saves.

Cool Down
Lord, help me anchor my heart and my mind in Your
Word. Align my priorities daily with what You want from me. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen

An individual with a Biblical worldview looks at the world and sifts all information through the lens of God’s Word. Scripture informs his thinking and behavior, guiding his intellect and moral determinations. The Bible is the bedrock that undergirds his entire life.
The secular worldview dismisses God as irrelevant in
the affairs of men and government, and views critical
moral issues as independent of God’s moral character and principles. Clear definitions of right and wrong
are impossible to determine. Over and against every
competing worldview, the Bible forcefully declares, “Do notbe conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2, ESV). In other words, the only way to see all of life accurately is through the transforming lens of Scripture.

The Biblical worldview says there is a God—One who is personal, powerful and caring—who created the world and everything in it. Mankind—born and unborn, rich and poor, able and disabled—has intrinsic worth. Almighty God isa sovereign God, ruler over nations, states, empires, and governments. He is to be worshiped and obeyed through the precepts and principles revealed in His infallible Word.

The Biblical worldview also asserts the existence and
reality of sin and evil. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). War, disease, violence, injustice and the myriad problems that beset the world are the result of man’s rebellion against God. Any attempt to create a utopian society, to permanently solve global problems, is doomed to fail.
For now. But one day soon, as the Biblical worldview triumphantly proclaims, the Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth, meting out eternal judgment to those who have rebelled against Him while gathering to Himself the saints, who will rule along with Him in a new heaven and a new earth. There will be no more sickness, no more death, no more disease, no
more violence, for our enemy will be cast into an eternal lake of fire, and sin will be no more (Revelation 20:10).

This is the only worldview that sees clearly and rightly, causing the heart to rejoice for eternity.

Cool Down!
Lord, transform me and renew my mind as You wash it by Your Word. Help me to see all of life through the lens of Scripture and give me the power to live each day in obedience to You. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

30 DAY SPIRITUAL BOOT CAMP
DAY ONE!

Warm Up!
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.”
— 2 PETER 3:10
Work out!
The flood was the greatest catastrophe in the history of the world. Scripture says that the flood destroyed everything.
The importance of Noah and the flood is emphasized by the many references to it in the Bible. The flood was both a warning and a promise. God warned that He would not always strive with man. Then He made a covenant with Noah and his sons that He would never again destroy the world by flood, and He gave the rainbow as a promise.
The Apostle Peter wrote that in Noah’s day “the world
that then existed perished, being flooded with water”
(2 Peter 3:6). But he also wrote that “the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).
We do not know at what hour the Lord is coming back
again. But we are told in Scripture that there will be signs pointing toward the return of the Lord. I believe that we see those signs in the world today. I believe that the coming of the Lord is near.
People today are concerned and frightened as they look at world conditions. Many things seem to be pointing toward that time.
The flood was not a natural catastrophe. The flood was a moral catastrophe. It came as a result of God’s judgment on the attitudes and actions of the people in the world of that time. God has set a time limit for our day as well. God has “appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by [Jesus Christ] whom He has ordained”
(Acts 17:31). We don’t know when it is, but Jesus said the hour is coming.
COOL DOWN
Father, thank You for Your promise that Christ will return. Remind me daily that the hour of judgment is coming, so that I live in preparation for that day.

Do Not Delay in Coming to Christ by J.C. Ryle

Let me speak to those who have not come to Christ—but mean to some day. I marvel at your presumption. Who are you, that talk of some day? You may be dead in a week.

Who are you that talk of some day? You may never have the will or opportunity, if not today. How long will you go on halting between two opinions? You must come to Christ some time—some day; why not now? The longer you stay away, the less chance there is of your coming at all; and the less happiness will you have in the world. “Take heed, therefore, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it” [Heb 4:1]. Many meant to have come in their old age—but put it off until too late.
