Women ministry: Not just a program for women to come and sing pray or pray or talk about their problems, but leading women to share their talents, skills, and equipping one another through the power of love and commitment. Time back several women in the Church started savings and credit scheme, they felt this can go beyond that and are now promoting house hold furnishing. Each Sunday they identify
one of their needy members and they buy and provide her with house hold commodities…depending on the need. This is what the Church of Acts was doing, this is what Rivers of Life is doing and will continue to do.
2. The youth: We do not want to say that we reach youth because they are just the pillars of the next generation, but actually we know that they need Christ just like any one else. Some of them are not highly learned and not many come from financially well families. And the fact that some of them are first generation Christians drives us to identifying with them. Rivers of life youth outreach is seeing the young people excel in economic development as well as spiritual transformation. They have income generation projects including piggery, agriculture, and some are now learning sewing. Why these, we feel that these young people need something to keep them busy while at the same time meeting their financial needs.
3. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Rivers of Life Global ministries has a Bible college. We named it Fort Portal Bible College because it is the first evangelical formal training institute. Our first graduation will be this November 2015. We have 25 students taking classes in theological studies on certificate, diploma and degree levels. With the partnership of Equipping pastors International, MINTS and several partners we can offer a sound leadership training which is needed in this generation.
4. Our worship services:
a. Wednesday and Friday we have evening Bible studies and worship services. If I may call them deliverance services, this could be the best because our goal always is to minister deliverance to the people of God. Tuesday and Thursday are counseling days morning to evening our Church is open and our ministers including the pastor are available to give spiritual counseling to any one in need. Sunday is our worship celebration
5. Our children’s ministry. Although we are currently ministering to children, we feel we have not reached our goal of seeing children reached for Christ in all aspects of life.
