2 Corinthians 3:18 says, " And all of us, as with unveiled face, (because we) continued to behold (in the word of God) as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly transfigured into His very own image in ever in increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; (for this comes) from the Lord (who is) the spirit. *AMPV*
2. Prayer in the spirit;
1 Corinthians 14:14-15 Says, "For if I pray with an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also".
in the spirit means praying in tongues.
in tongues and praying in the understanding, which one is greater? In our previous reading from verse 5 it says "...I Will pray with the spirit and with the understanding also..." Here we can see that praying with the understanding is the 'also' meaning it comes after tongues.
