Beloved, we are living in the last month of 2015, I want to encourage you to stay focused on your goals. Many times we become weary and lose sight of God’s plan for us. This is more so, when we see the year coming to an end and it seems like we would not be able to achieve the goals we had set for ourselves at the beginning of the year.
Do not let the Jan to Dec Gregorian calendar year format determine your success. It is important for you to know that the current Gregorian calendar format which we now use was only introduced in Feb. 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII. At that time it was only adopted by Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland. It was not until Sept. 1782 over 200 years after its introduction, that it was adopted by USA and the UK. Beloved, do not bind yourself to this timing as though it is God's prophetic calendar. It certainly isn't. The truth is that based on this Gregorian calendar format, even though today is Thursday 3rd Dec 2015, it is actually Wednesday 18th Dec 2015, according to the previously used Julian calendar (which was introduced by Julius Caesar and took effect around 45BC). This is why you cannot live your life bound to the natural timing of man on earth.
Our prophetic timing is “Now”, the time of faith – Heb. 11:1. We are called to walk by faith in order to please God and live a victoriously on earth – Heb. 11:6; 1 Jn. 5:4. As long as you are walking by faith you are in God’s perfect time and it does not matter how this reflects in relation to the Jan to Dec calendar year format.
Approach the New Year 2016 (Our Year of Shall Do Greater Works – Jn. 14:12), with a mentality of victory approach it with a mind-set that you are limited by events and circumstances around you. Approach the New Year with the mind-set of dominion and nothing will stop you from excelling in Jesus’ name.
