Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!

The passage of the day!

Here are the verses:

"Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world acknowledge him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!" - Psalm 33:8-12 ESV

LOOKING AT GOD AS A WAY MAKER.

Here are a few scriptures that highlight God as a way maker:

- Isaiah 43:16 - "Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters."
- Isaiah 45:2-3 - "I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut through the bars of iron."
- Psalm 78:13 - "He divided the sea and led them through; he made the water stand up like a wall."
- 1 Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape."

- Isaiah 40:3-4 - "A voice cries: 'In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain."
- Psalm 107:30 - "Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to the harbor they desired."
- Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

These scriptures show God making a way in various situations, from wilderness journeys to troubled waters.

Roman soldiers often took pleasure in claiming spoils from those they executed. With Jesus, they did not even wait until He was dead before laying claim to His clothes—the only worldly possession He had left. Jesus truly gave up everything to give us the gift of eternal life.
