*Bweranyangi Girls' School Chapel Commissioned and Concecrated.*

The magnificent St. Paul Chapel, Bweranyangi Girls' SSS was on the 12th April 2025 commissioned and Concecrated by the Bishop of West Ankole Diocese Rt Rev Johnson Twinomujuni.
During the service, Bishop Johnson challenged students and staff to reflect on the questions; why are we here on earth and what is life for?, noting that there are people who do not care about their life.
The Bishop noted that the purpose for which we are on earth is to be useful and add value as written in John 15:16. He stressed that our lives are not our own. We here in line and in accordance to God's Will.
He thanked the President for his contribution to the Diocese, and thanked the school leadership for making the foundation body proud of her institution.
The president was the chief guest and was represented by the Minister of Local Government Hon. Raphael Magezi.
In his speech, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, commended Bweranyangi for interfering spirituality in the school curriculum, calling upon institutions of learning to guide their students to make wise career choices by selecting science and technology subjects to adopt a rapidly changing global economy mainly driven by science and technology.
He said, the completion and commissioning of St Paul Chapel is proof of the school's commitment to raising God fearing students, noting that in most cases schools emphasize academic excellence only and neglect the moral and spiritual development of students, which he said creates a big problem for the country because if a person has no spiritual values, he/she can easily engage in evil acts like corruption, embezzlement, nepotism, among others.
President Museveni, called upon students to work hard towards acquiring a profession or skill that is marketable on the job market, read their Bible to be near God and develop their spirituality, do sports and exercises so as to keep fit and remain healthy; and help their parents with house chores or any other work during holidays which will prepare them to be productive members of society.
The President contributed 50 Million shillings towards the purchase of seats for the Chapel.
The Permanent Secretary Ministry of education and sports, Lay Can Dr Kedress Turyagyenda, who doubles as an old student and pioneer teacher of A level students of the school, expressed her gratitude to the school for building a bigger chapel sighting the principals which she acquired from the chapel that made her what she is now.
She said, from the four years while at Bweranyangi, from the chapel, she was able to understand various life principles namely; Seeking first the kingdom of God, excellence, Contentment, Assurance, faithfulness and consciousness of accountability.
Dr Kedress expressed her continued commitment to see the transformation of the education sector.
The Head mistress Bweranyangi Girls' Mrs Molly Buhairoha, in her speech, appreciated the President and Maama Janet for their financial support towards the chapel construction, an investment in the education and spiritual growth that will shape generations of young women into responsible and God fearing citizens.
She thanked the Bishop and Mama Joy for their continued spiritual guidance, prayers and encouragement that have been a cornerstone of the chapel project.
Mrs Molly gave a special acknowledgement to her predecessor, Commissioner Juliet Muzoora, in whose fruit of imagination, the chapel stands today, offering spiritual refuge to all who enter.
She equally appreciated the Old Girls, Board of Governors, PTA, Parents, the Contractor together with the construction team,the staff, students and the community for their financial support towards the Chapel construction.
