PHANEROO~DEVOTION [Thursday, 2nd November 2023]

Title: WATCH AND PRAY II

Matthew 26:41(KJV): Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.


In yesterday's devotion, we learnt the importance of being an active participant in your moments of prayer. One of the ways to participate is to respond to the thoughts and the images that come to you as you are praying.

Today, I wish to open your eyes to another way you can participate.

God has given us the liberty to create using the scriptures.

For example, while in prayer, you may say, "Your Word has said that I am the head and not the tail." With this same scripture, you build the vision of what it means for you to be the head and not the tail.

You may say, "I thank You because I am a leader in my industry. You have elevated me above all my peers. My ideas take first place. My products take first place. My innovations take first place. I thank You, God because the work of my hand and the fruits of my labour are preferred in the marketplace. In all that I do, I am positioned as a leader in my field, to the glory of Your name."

That is a man participating in prayer. You cannot pray that way and fail to get answers or see results.

Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: God has given us the liberty to create using the scriptures.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for continually instructing me in the ways of prayer. Your Word has saturated my spirit and is the object of my petitions and supplications. By the Word I build, create and cast down, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Title: WATCH AND PRAY I

Matthew 26:41(KJV): Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.


Prayer was not designed by God to be a passive indulgence.

As a true woman or man of prayer, you should participate in your prayers.

For example, while in prayer, an image may flash into your mind of a brother or friend in a car accident. It may even be a random thought of the death of a long-lost relative.

Don't dismiss it as the product of your wandering mind. Because it came in the moment of prayer, chances are that it is no mere coincidence.

Arrest it at that very moment. Decree and declare that he or she will not die! Tell the devil, "Take your hand off my own!" Frustrate the plans of the enemy at that moment.

In the same vein, if while in prayer, you see with your mind's eye that you are being given keys to a beautiful house, don't get into rebuking the devil for trying to tempt and entice you. Thank God for what He is giving to you. Celebrate the gift of the new house!

That is part of watching and praying.

You’re born from above, free from the curse of this fallen world and set apart from its consciousness. You’re begotten of the Lord.

You’re a new creature in Christ, perfect and free from the bo***ge of corruption; all things respond to you in obedience to your nature and lordship in Christ.

In and out of season, all things bring forth fruit as you require, they answer you by providing for your needs and respond to your command.

You are fruitful and you flourish in all seasons; you bring forth fruit even in your old age for God is always with you— a tree planted by the rivers of water.

You determine your seasons, your seasons are not set for you. You decree a thing and it is established.

You declare a lifting up and things are turned for you, you call resources from the systems and corners of this world and they respond.

There’s a grace on your tongue! Heaven honours your tongue!
