๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ Darsa: Children Are a Gift from Allah โ€“ Never Lose Hope in His Perfect Timing ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

By Secretary for Da'wa Arua Muslim District
Yunus Yunus Ibrahim

ุจูุณู’ู…ู ุงู„ู„ู‡ู ุงู„ุฑูŽู‘ุญู’ู…ูฐู†ู ุงู„ุฑูŽู‘ุญููŠู…ู

๐ŸŒบ All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. We praise Him, seek His help and forgiveness, and send peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ, his family, companions, and all those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.

๐ŸŒบ Dear brothers and sisters,

One of the greatest blessings Allah grants to His servants is the blessing of children. Yet many families spend years waiting for this gift. Some are called barren, some are mocked by society, while others silently cry to Allah every night.

๐ŸŒบ As Muslims, we must remember a very important reality:

Children come from Allah, not from human ability.

Allah says:

"To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He grants daughters to whom He wills, and grants sons to whom He wills. Or He grants both sons and daughters, and He makes whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful." (Qur'an 42:49-50)

๐ŸŒบ Therefore, whether one has children early, late, many, few, or none at all, everything happens according to Allah's wisdom and decree.

๐ŸŒบ Allah's Timing Is Always Best

Many people expect children immediately after marriage.

๐ŸŒบ Some receive them quickly.

๐ŸŒบ Some wait for years.

๐ŸŒบ Some wait for decades.

๐ŸŒบ And some receive the gift when all human hope appears gone.

But Allah's clock is not our clock.

What seems delayed to us is perfectly timed by Allah.

Sometimes Allah delays a blessing because He is preparing something greater than we can imagine.

๐ŸŒบ Look at Prophet Zakariyyah (AS)

He reached old age.

๐ŸŒบ His hair had turned white.

๐ŸŒบ His body had become weak.

๐ŸŒบ His wife could not bear children.

Yet he never stopped making dua.

He called upon Allah:

"My Lord, do not leave me childless, though You are the Best of inheritors." (Qur'an 21:89)

๐ŸŒบ Allah answered his prayer and blessed him with Prophet Yahya (AS).

What people considered impossible was easy for Allah.

๐ŸŒบ Look at Prophet Ibrahim (AS)

Years passed without children.

๐ŸŒบ Decades passed.

๐ŸŒบ Old age arrived.

Yet Allah blessed him with Prophet Ishaq (AS).

This teaches us that Allah's promises are not restricted by age, biology, or human calculations.

When Allah says "Be", it is.

๐ŸŒบ Never Mock Those Without Children

Sadly, some people insult women who have not conceived.

๐ŸŒบ Some blame wives unfairly.

๐ŸŒบ Some relatives ask painful questions repeatedly.

๐ŸŒบ Some people spread gossip and hurtful comments.

This is not the character of a Muslim.

Today you may have children.

Tomorrow Allah may test you in another way.

Today another family may be childless.

Tomorrow Allah may open His treasures for them.

๐ŸŒบ Therefore, replace mockery with dua.

๐ŸŒบ Replace judgment with compassion.

๐ŸŒบ Replace criticism with encouragement.

๐ŸŒบ Do Not Lose Hope

Many tears are shed in Tahajjud.

๐ŸŒบ Many silent prayers rise to the heavens.

๐ŸŒบ Many hearts are waiting for Allah's answer.

Remember:

Allah hears every whisper.

๐ŸŒบ Allah sees every tear.

๐ŸŒบ Allah knows every pain.

๐ŸŒบ Allah never forgets His servants.

A delay is not a denial.

A test is not a rejection.

Sometimes Allah delays a blessing because He loves hearing your dua.

๐ŸŒบ Children Are a Trust from Allah

Those blessed with children should thank Allah.

๐ŸŒบ Raise them upon Islam.

๐ŸŒบ Teach them Qur'an.

๐ŸŒบ Teach them good manners.

๐ŸŒบ Make them a source of sadaqah jariyah.

And those still waiting should continue trusting Allah, for His mercy is vast and His power has no limits.

๐ŸŒบ Final Reminder

The Allah who gave Yahya to Zakariyyah,

๐ŸŒบ The Allah who gave Ishaq to Ibrahim,

๐ŸŒบ The Allah who gave Isa to Maryam,

๐ŸŒบ Is the same Allah we worship today.

Nothing is impossible for Him.

So never lose hope.

๐ŸŒบ Keep making dua.

๐ŸŒบ Keep trusting Allah.

๐ŸŒบ Keep believing in His mercy.

๐ŸŒบ Keep waiting for His perfect timing.

For when Allah gives, He gives at the best time, in the best way, and with the best wisdom.

๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ May Allah bless every family longing for children, grant patience to those waiting, and make our children righteous servants of Islam. Ameen. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒบ

The Obligation of Jumu'ah in the Mosque and the Mistake of Holding It in Homes Due to Funerals

ุจูุณู’ู…ู ุงู„ู„ูŽู‘ู‡ู ุงู„ุฑูŽู‘ุญู’ู…ูŽูฐู†ู ุงู„ุฑูŽู‘ุญููŠู…ู

All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help and His forgiveness. We send peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ, his family, his companions, and all those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.

Introduction

Dear brothers and sisters,

A practice has emerged in some communities where, upon the death of a family member, people gather at the deceased's home and perform Jumu'ah prayer there instead of attending the mosque. While this may be done out of sympathy for the bereaved family, we must remember that acts of worship are not based on emotions, customs, or convenience. They are based on the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the righteous scholars.

The question we must ask is: Did the Prophet ๏ทบ, his Companions, or the generations after them ever abandon the mosque for Jumu'ah because a funeral had occurred in a home?

The answer is no.

The Command of Allah Regarding Jumu'ah

Allah says:

> "O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trade."

(Surah Al-Jumu'ah 62:9)

This verse commands the believers to respond to the Adhan of Jumu'ah and gather for the congregational prayer. Throughout the life of the Prophet ๏ทบ, Jumu'ah was established as a public gathering of Muslims under the leadership of the Imam.

It was not performed separately in homes because of personal circumstances.

The Practice of the Prophet ๏ทบ

The Prophet ๏ทบ experienced many deaths during his lifetime. He lost his beloved wife Khadijah (ุฑุถูŠ ุงู„ู„ู‡ ุนู†ู‡ุง), his daughters, his sons, many relatives, and many companions.

Yet never once did he instruct the Muslims:

> "Since there is a funeral in this home, let us establish a separate Jumu'ah here."

Instead, the Muslims gathered in the mosque for Jumu'ah and later attended the funeral prayer and burial.

This demonstrates that every act of worship has its proper place and manner.

Why Jumu'ah Is Different from Ordinary Congregational Prayers

Some people think:

> "Since we can pray Dhuhr at home, why not Jumu'ah?"

The answer is that Jumu'ah is not merely a congregational prayer. It is one of the greatest public symbols of Islam.

It includes:

The Khutbah.

The gathering of the Muslim community.

The leadership of the Imam.

The public remembrance of Allah.

The unity of Muslims in one congregation.

This is why scholars have always emphasized that Jumu'ah should be established in the recognized congregational place of Muslims and not divided unnecessarily among homes and small groups.

Respecting the Deceased Does Not Mean Changing the Religion

Islam teaches us to honor the deceased.

We visit the family. We comfort them. We assist them. We attend the Janazah. We make du'aa for them.

However, honoring the dead does not permit us to alter the prescribed acts of worship.

A deceased Muslim benefits from:

Our du'aa.

Our charity on their behalf.

Seeking forgiveness for them.

They do not benefit from people abandoning the mosque and introducing practices that have no basis in the religion.

The Danger of Customs Replacing Sunnah

Many innovations begin with good intentions.

A generation introduces a practice. The next generation accepts it. The following generation believes it is part of Islam.

The Prophet ๏ทบ warned:

> "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it will be rejected."

(Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

Therefore, every Muslim should ask:

Is this practice supported by the Qur'an and Sunnah, or is it merely a local custom?

If it is only a custom, then it cannot be given the status of an Islamic act of worship.

What Should Be Done When a Funeral Occurs on Friday?

The correct procedure is:

1. Attend Jumu'ah in the mosque.

2. Listen attentively to the Khutbah.

3. Perform Jumu'ah with the Muslim community.

4. Attend the Janazah prayer if it has not yet been performed.

5. Participate in the burial and comfort the family.

6. Continue making du'aa for the deceased.

This is the way of the Prophet ๏ทบ and his Companions.

A Message to the Community

My dear brothers and sisters,

We love our deceased relatives and wish to honor them. Yet our greatest gift to them is obedience to Allah and adherence to the Sunnah of His Messenger ๏ทบ.

Let us not allow culture to replace revelation.

Let us not allow emotions to replace evidence.

Let us not divide the Muslims from the mosque on the day that Allah commanded them to gather.

The mosque is the home of Jumu'ah. The cemetery is the place of burial. The home of the deceased is the place of condolence.

Each matter should remain in its proper place according to the guidance of Islam.

Conclusion

May Allah grant us understanding of His religion. May He make us among those who follow the Sunnah and avoid innovations. May He forgive our deceased, have mercy upon them, expand their graves, and admit them into Jannat al-Firdaws.

The Importance of Remaining Silent During the Friday Khutbah

The Hadith of the Messenger of Allah ๏ทบ strongly emphasizes the obligation of listening attentively and remaining completely silent during the Friday (Jumu'ah) sermon (Khutbah).

The Prophet Muhammad ๏ทบ made it clear that even minor distractionsโ€”including speaking to others or correcting someone verballyโ€”can reduce or deprive a person of the immense reward associated with Jumu'ah.

1. Speaking During the Khutbah

The Prophet ๏ทบ said:

ยซ"If you say to your companion on Friday, 'Listen attentively,' while the Imam is delivering the Khutbah, then you have engaged in idle speech."

(Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)ยป

Although commanding good and preventing wrong is generally encouraged in Islam, speaking during the Khutbah is prohibited because it distracts both the speaker and the listener from benefiting from the sermon.

2. The Consequences of Idle Speech

The Prophet ๏ทบ said:

ยซ"Whoever speaks on Friday while the Imam is delivering the sermon is like a donkey carrying books. And the one who tells him to be quiet will have no Friday prayer (i.e., he loses its complete reward)."

(Musnad Ahmad)ยป

In another narration, the Prophet ๏ทบ said:

ยซ"Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, then comes to the mosque, listens attentively, and remains silent, his sins between that Friday and the next will be forgiven... But whoever plays with the pebbles has engaged in an idle act."

(Sunan Abi Dawud)ยป

Important Lessons for Every Muslim

โœ… Observe complete silence from the moment the Imam begins the Khutbah until the prayer is completed.

โœ… Do not engage in conversations, even if the topic is beneficial.

โœ… Do not verbally tell others to be quiet. If necessary, use a gentle gesture without speaking.

โœ… Avoid all distractions, such as checking your phone, reading unrelated materials, playing with keys, tasbih beads, or any other activity that diverts attention from the Khutbah.

โœ… Listen attentively, for the Khutbah is a reminder, guidance, and an opportunity for spiritual purification.

May Allah ๏ทป grant us the ability to honor the sanctity of Jumu'ah, listen attentively to the Khutbah, and attain its full reward.

Ameen.
