MY PERSONAL OPINION
TOPIC: AS A CATHOLIC PRIEST, I START EARLY TO GIVE MY CHILDREN GOD, NOT JUST GOLD...
Teach your children to pray the rosary early in life, and watch as the will of God come to pass in their lives. Teach them the language of God, to avoid the enemy teaching them the language of iniquity. Give them rosary even as you buy roses for them. Don't just buy toys for them, buy rosary and sacramentals for them too. Pray the rosary before and with them, and push them to pray it through thick and thin. Have an altar with mother Mary and the crucifix on it. Teach them that God should come first and that praying the rosary is absolutely necessary in their lives. The greatest way of teaching children and the youth is by living it; so don't just say it, practice it. Don't just enroll them in French classes, please enroll them in the school of Mary where the rosary is taught and mother Mary is the teacher. Don't just take them to 'taekwondo' classes, make out time for prayers and bible studies. Don't just buy PS4 for them, buy lives of saints for them too. Don't just give them iphones at a very young age; give them rosaries and watch as the cage of the enemy become toothless in making them addicts. Don't just focus all your energies making them gymnasts; make them children of God too. Teach them that there is God and that man is not Him. If all you can give to your children are material things, then you have failed as a father or mother.
Before the world, friends and acquaintances come to brainwash them with false doctrines, please wash them with the true doctrines of the Church and make their brains very active to resist any attempt to paint mother Mary as an 'envelope,' 'demon' or 'marine spirit' before them. If your children are experts in politics, sports, celebrity life, and gadgets, but are ignoramuses when the the things of God are brought to the table, you need to wake up from your parental slumber. Before the Herod of iniquity comes with his addictions, take them to Benediction and teach them the power that flows from their knees, so that frustration won't met them at life's junction, when the bends, earthquakes and problems will suddenly their come their way like heavy downpour. To avoid them falling into despair when they face life's ups and downs, prepare them early by teaching them to run to God with their rosaries even as they apply smart thinking and work to solve whatever problem they will face in life. Don't just give them money, handsets, good education and stop there; give them God as their father and mother Mary as their mother. Remember that it's what you leave in those kids that matters the most, not what you leave for them.
To leave landed properties for them as their heritage is good, but to inculcate deep morality, good character, authenticity, fear and love of God, love for scriptures, longing for prayers and unceasing devotion to Mary is a better and greater heritage that will save them from the cancerous cage of the evil ones. Teach them to pray, so that when when the enemies of our faith want to make them their preys, they will pray their way out of every dark hole, pit, path, difficult or plot that had in stock for them Give them God, not just gold... E get why I talk am like this!
