AS a Faith Based Organization;(FBO) , -TANGA ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (TIDF) – was founded since 2010; and registered Ministry of Home Affairs under new NGO –Act of 2012 with Certificate of Registration No 16836 ; Located at Street No. 17; Masjid ANISA; Majengo Ward, Tanga Municipality, Tanga Region-Tanzania. Apart from commitment to work with local and foreign partners to bring social and
economic development and eradicating poverty, TIDF -has been formed to promote religious education and cultural understanding among Muslim community in the region. The main objective has focus to establish Islamic Learning Centers (MADRASA) at every district similar to many villages in the region, to strengthen the wide spread of Islamic knowledge to the marginalized under growing children, youth and other Muslim believers. Currently TIDF is running the Islamic teaching education program through its 23 Madrasas at different locations/wards in the district comprises with over 858 students. AL HAMDULILLAH, through our DAAWA PROPAGATION DEPARTMENT we have managed to reach more than 1500 Muslim students at various private and government primary and secondary schools empowering knowledge and practices relating to Islamic religion.,. By the year 2015 -2017, through DAAWA PROPAGATION program our target is to reach 5000 students, Muslims in prisons and other believers and parallel to establish 100 madrasa to rural areas within the region. Besides the education activities the organization through its Care Together Program has engaged in taking care of orphans, vulnerable children and helping youth, elderly, widow, disabled who are not capable of getting their daily need through Muslim donors and other institutes in areas of education, health, shelter, food and other humanitarian needs. Apart from the leadership of SHEIKH MUHAMAD MDHARUBA who is the Mudir and chairman of the organization, other 12 sheikhs are working in collaboration with Madrasa leaders and scholars in respective locations in helping to accomplish the organization objectives. Inclusive with the intended target Our future Proposal is to set up a development for Demonstrating ISLAMIC EDUCATION CENTRE in Tanga that will incorporate the above activities as one of the integrate program.
