Christ Church Cathedral Zanzibar Located on the beautiful Indian Ocean island of Zanzibar in historic Stone Town. Built on the site of Monica's Hostel. Food and fellowship are offered afterward.

The Anglican Cathedral was built in the late1870s on the site of East Africa's largest slave market. This impressive building -- both a monument and vibrant local church -- stands next to St. On Sunday mornings you will find people gathering for services in English and Kiswahili. Swahili services are offered in the main cathedral. A 1 hour- ish English service is held in the day chapel from 8:00a-

9:00 am. This is a great time to enjoy traditional foods such as mandazi, kutlas, fried rice cakes, chai etc. and meet a wonderful community of locals and tourists alike. Visitors are always most welcome!
