Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
1. God wanted someone to be like them, that is, to be like those in Heaven; 1 John 4:17 "Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world."
You cannot separate the one who walks by faith from God.
2. God wanted us to speak like HIM; Genesis 2:20 "And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him."
God gave Adam the authority to name the animals because He wanted to know how creation can act like HIM, and when he named the animals, God did not change any of the names because He saw that everything was correct.
3. Act like God; Genesis 3:22 "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:"
If you know good and bad and do something bad, you cannot justify yourself because you are aware of what is good and what is bad.
4. Walking like HIM, Exodus 7:1-2 "And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land."
This means that God wanted us to have a walk like Him, if you go to Arusha you represent Him, if you are in Dar es Salaam you represent God, that is, be God in your environment.
5. The lifestyle must be like God's, 1 Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am Holy." This is a command and He does not ask. It is the life to be lived by any created being.
