Dr. Tim Turner and his family, Katie, Sybil, and Emmy, are Global Methodist missionaries equipping Tanzanian pastors to lead thriving and economically empowered churches. Our Calling
At five years old, Tim watched an Operation Christmas Child video during a Christmas Eve service and a boy from Africa was spotlighted in the video. Three decades later, that childhood calling is becoming reality as
the Turner family begins long-term missionary service in Tanzania. The Need
The Tanzania Conference of the Global Methodist Church faces a staggering pastoral training crisis. There are currently fewer than 10 ordained clergy, while over 100 pastors desperately need theological education and ordination. Meanwhile, Africa's church is exploding—734 million Christians growing at 2.64% annually—but lacking the trained leadership to disciple this harvest. Our Mission
Through the Tanzania Pastoral Development Initiative, we're building a network of distributed training hubs that will equip 200+ well-trained pastors serving in 50+ self-sustaining churches. Using train-the-trainer models, we're empowering Tanzanian leaders to reproduce training locally rather than creating dependency on external resources. Through ministerial formation and economic empowerment, the Gospel work in Tanzania will become self-sustaining as it multiplies. Our Experience
Tim holds a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Seminary and founded the Trinity Conference School of Ministry, which has successfully trained pastors through accessible, reproducible curriculum. This proven model now scales to meet Tanzania's urgent need. Multiplying impact. Join us as we invest the next decade equipping Tanzania's church for lasting transformation.
