The Anglican Church Geita The Anglican church Kristo Mfalme Geita inaugurated in 1940s at Nyamalembo area. The Church was then transferred in 1974 by Pastor Daniel Kipili.

The Church was then transferred in 1974 by Pastor Daniel Kipili to Geita town(Lwenge area). The church is the headquarter of Geita Archdeaconary. Geita Archdeaconary covers the former Geita district which is situated in northern part of Tanzania. The district borders with Muleba district to the north, Sengerema districts to the East, Misungwi district to the south and Chato district to the west. A

dministratively the district is divided into 7divisions, 33 wards and 187 registered villages and 874 harmlets. The total area of the district is 7825 square kilometers with the population of 838104 people extrapolated from 2002 census at a growth rate of 3.4%. Visitors to Geita Church have the opportunity to visit Geita Gold Mine and enjoy the abundant forestry resourses available in Tanzania and other world class wonders such as Rubondo reserve.
